Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

It would be great if Belmont would make the breakthrough and win a senior title this year. Maybe Shinrone will come good in 2019.
I suppose you will be at tonight's game Birr v KK, in Kinnitty?

Re: Football Club Boundaries

I just had a quick look at map. Killeigh parish is shown in black and amber, since 2015, Clodiagh Gaels, dual club, light blue/ navy blue, border Tullamore, KK and Shamrocks, and two Lais clubs, St. Man mans and Kilcavan. Ballinagar, blue jerseys, and bordering Daingean, and Cappincur, Clodiagh Gael...

Re: Offaly GAA Club Map

Clodiagh Gaels is a club based in the Killeigh/Killurin area of Co. Offaly, catering for adult football and hurling. Footballers are drawn from the Killeigh and Killurin areas, while the hurling teams can pick from the whole parish, including Raheen, Geashill, and Ballinagar areas. Raheen and Ballin...

Re: Leinster Under 20 Hurling Championship

I would go as far to say it was an heroic performance by the young men and they only went ahead for the first time in the 63rd minute. They really did die with their boots on and if they had of lost I think they’d get the same praise although nobody wants moral victories. There is a serious crop of...

Re: Offaly v Leix Round 3 Qualifier

I think at half time when it was 10 points apiece that unless offaly scored goals they wouldn't win and so was the case. I had watched Laois play westmeath in tullamore and they dominated the middle of the field then and are big strong men. Offaly were lucky if they won 4-5 balls around the middle ...

Not a bad draw at all. We avoided the big guns.

Re: Joe McDonagh cup

Excellent arguments made by Lone Shark. Asking for Tommy Byrne's head, without having a suitable candidate, or candidates ready to take over makes no sense. Greenairfield recently posted that a chairperson from South Offaly, would be the answer, but is there one ready to take up the challenge? I sup...

Re: Leinster Club Hurling Championship - Offaly Representati

For the record this time last year Laois were in trouble and almost threatened by relegation to the Christy Ring. The coordinator of the Leinster Club competitions told me that an implication of relegation would be that if Laois dropped to Christy Ring, then the county senior champions would not be...

Re: Leinster Club Hurling Championship - Offaly Representati

Hi All, This maybe a stupid question but its something that has crossed my mind. First of all I am absolutely gutted we are now in Christy Ring. However, will the winners of the Offaly County Championship progress to the provincial stages of the competition due to relegation? The club championship ...

Re: Offaly V Kerry JMCD cup - can we win this game?

Boom. Bye bye hurling. I'm absolutely gutted by that result, but I picked up a comment like this on twitter and I'm going to pick up this too. There is a lot more to Offaly hurling than the senior county team. It is important, but it is not everything. That's not to say that everything is okay, it ...

[quote="private joker"]Regan want current mgt gone after Kerry match. Says they are a disgrace.[/quot Joachim and his team took over after Kevin Martin was axed, with 2 games to play. They will probably step down after tomorrow's game. Comments like that are unhelpful, and a bit unfair. If Daithi wa...

Onwards and upwards again!
I presume Leinster starts in a couple of weeks?
Just for accuracy, Cian Farrell scored a goal from play last night. He was Offaly's best player.

Re: Reviving Offaly Hurling to former glories.

Firstly, it’s all to play for, and I’m not for one second dismissing our chances v Kerry on Saturday in Tralee. I don’t do Facebook, and was sent this on by a concerned citizen I suppose you could call him. He sent me the following from a Facebook post: Right I’m ready to go with this. Tune in over...
