Re: Offaly v Cork, SHC qualifier, 25/6/2011
That was a typically over-sensitive response from a Corkonian I have to say. The idea that the same players in Wexford jerseys would instill less fear in the Offaly camp is surely a nod to Cork's proud history and the mental block that can place on the opposition, but it wouldn't be like a Corkman t...

Re: Lets start playing the club championships again
With the news that Derek Molloy is off to the States for the summer, do you think the lack of club championship action makes it a little easier for lads to make that decision to head away? The way things are, they could head off for the summer and still be back for the bulk of the club championship....

Sent you a PM re: RTE site.
RTE site is the best option for a quality picture. Didn't want to post in thread in case the board Admin disapproves.

Re: Best Clip To Sell The Small Ball Game
Bit longer than what you're looking for, but I pass this one to Americans all the time as it's aimed to describe it in terms they understand.
Plus it's good quality, unlike a lot of the hurling clips on youtube.

Re: Offaly vs Waterford NHL Round 6 03/04/2011
Is it 100% certain that head to head results count before points difference for determining league table position in the event teams are tied on points? Right now, gaa.ie has Offaly in 7th and Wexford 8th, although Offaly have a points difference of -46 and Wexford has a points difference of -38. I ...

Re: SHC Final
Anyone willing or able to give a bit more of a description on the Intermediate final?
Not surprised to hear it was poor going off the standard in the one semi-final I saw while home a couple weeks ago.

Re: RTE & Ger Farragher's "wide" from last Sunday
Well, I think Bracknaghboy has it right, the ref probably wouldn't have given us the free at the end to win it if we were level, he would have blown up for the draw. I'm more interested in why the commentator decided to redo the audio for editing in later in the manner he did. I'm not saying there's...

RTE & Ger Farragher's "wide" from last Sunday
So here's an interesting thing: I've linked 4 minutes in to this video, where Farragher takes the sideline and was given the point: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHP92f6fc68#t=4m00s Whatever about the point being given, that's a separate issue, but listen carefully at the 4'25" mark where the ...

RB, if you still need 'em, I'll try to PM you some instructions on the proxy server workaround later if I can. I'm in work at the moment so the sites I want to link you to are blocked. It's tough though, as finding a working proxy in Ireland is hit and miss, I missed most of the first half the other...

Re: Offaly Cork 1999
I've kind of the opposite experience to Biff at least as far as the games go. But the session we had after the 2000 game was much more memorable! But I remember thinking even in the immediate aftermath of the game in 2000 that the hurling wasn't of the same quality as the previous year. I was living...

Re: Whats the format for the hurling qualifiers
Do you know are all of those open draws?
ie, If Wexford lose the semifinal and Offaly make it through the qualifiers first round, they could face Wexford then in the second round (or third round if Wexford lose the Leinster final)?

Yes! Division 1 here we come!
Listening to Radio 3 here in Boston, Offaly have just won the game and all Johnny Flaherty can do is moan about the forwards.

Re: Offaly Minor Management A Complete Joke
I would reccommend a seperate board for hurling, seperate sponsors, seperate everything. Get young enthusastic people on the board, people that have the same ambitions and goals and build for the future. With a young enthusastic board with big ambitions there would be no problem getting a big spons...
