Re: Meeting In Tullamore

Hurling was destroyed when it went to OCP north offaly folk dont care about hurling.keep it in Birr for the better. now that's an ignorant comment. Didn't take long for the bile to emerge. Back to the 'high powered 'group. Have been speaking to people about this development. General consensus seems...

We have always wanted change at the top table specially of Tommy Byrnes seat.

Some here said it's not good to look for change unless suitable candidates are going to challenge we now have them and ye are backing them cowboys....madness!
Am not seeing people 'backing them cowboys'.

It would be some coup!!!
It would.

Am just thinking that we are at a level where some ambitious fella might want to bite.

Hopeful here that our timing matches the right skillset and appetitie.

Re: Next Offaly Senior Hurling Manager

At face value it would seem confusing that Quaid was let go. There must be a story there.

He did pretty well with Kildare, Westmeath seemed to be a decent next step.

Decent enough year there and gone in a flash with little explanation(?).

Re: Offaly v Leix Round 3 Qualifier

RTE are billing Mayo and Armagh and Tyrone V Kildare as ties of the round...I suppose they are right...but commenting on those two games and not even discussing the possible outcomes of Offaly V Laois and Westmeath & Clare...Offaly couldn't have asked for too much more of a bettr draw...regardless ...

Re: Offaly V Kerry JMCD cup - can we win this game?

The rationale is tradition , they just can't imagine Kerry beating Offaly. They are mistaken, hope Offaly win but I think Kerry will. They will relish this match where Offaly will not. It will be a battle. Will Offaly fight? Hoping our boys bring back some of the 'tradition' where we hammer the opp...

Re: Offaly V Kerry JMCD cup - can we win this game?

Seems like an uphill climb.

Unless I'm reading it wrong it looks like Boylesports and Betfair have Offaly as slight favorites.

Seems strange. Wonder what the rationale is there?

Hopefully they pull through.

Re: Joe McDonagh cup

Thx for posting the video likj. The amount of long ball driven in deep to our forwards made parts of the match resemble tennis. The amount of possession we retained from these efforts was minimal. Really disappointing yesterday overall. Not being at the match and watching it online is a nice remove ...

Re: Joe McDonagh cup

Just looking at the table of the JMCD Cup, we are bottom, potentially, we could make the final (STILL) Laois have Westmeath for their last game on 15th June, same day as we have Kerry, if Westmeath lose to Laois, and we score well, we can still make it by my reckoning, wouldn't it be great if we co...
