Re: Senior Hurling semi finals - 03/10/2010

K/K only have themselves to blame. They tried to rough Tullamore up and intimidate them which was always going to backfire. Tullamore were the more disciplined and clinical team on the day and deserved to go through. There were saints and sinners on both sides and ultimately talking about who should...

Re: Offaly vs Tipperary SHC Qualifier Phase 3 17/07/2010

some people here think my earlier post was arogant and carcastic... it was not ment to be so im sorry if anyone was offended... what i said about the offaly tactics was correct however... it was very negative throughout the game... playing an extra man in defence is a sure sign that they have no co...

Re: Walsh cup Offaly 1-16 Kilkenny 1-13

my man of the match would have to be james rigney had a great game in the half back line. stepen egan push him hard for it caught some great balls today,: Would pretty much agree with that. Rigney was outstanding & tackled like his life depended on it. After that I thought Parlon looked fairly ...

Re: Footballers dropped?

what players hav been dropped? I honestly could not tell you as that information has not been shared on this forum so we will have to wait & see. Seemingly the privelige to vote on disclosure of relevant information relating to a topic is only allowed so long as the topic is not relevant to GAA...

Re: minor football semi final

Dont be fooled by the scoreline as the game was much closer than that. The lads showed real spirit battling back from 6 points down & with a little bit of luck would have won it in normal time. Allen & Sullivan were excellent although the latter will have to learn to stop retailiating after ...

Re: Footballers dropped?

As for your last line, the obvious question is why does our chances of winning affect whether or not you would travel to Wexford? If you want to support them, do - if you don't, don't Thats not what I meant at all & its a pathetic thing to write. Are you trying to tell me that you are not keenl...

Re: Footballers dropped?

Would you be happy to see players who are innocent getting their reputation tarnished by some anonymous internet poster? No of course not but I honestly cant see the problem with someone who has information which they strongly believe is accurate sharing it. Only the pope is infallible & if som...

Re: Footballers dropped?

This site has turned into a complete farce. Its like living in Nazi Germany with the control & editing thats going on. Why dont we just scrap the open discussion forum & run a private message service as it seems like every time there is relevant information to be shared it is blocked. Im all...

Re: ALAN MCNAMEE.

Because to put it quite frankly, unless one of the posters on this board is Alan himself, no-one has a clue what kind of life he's leading. We all know that stories can grow legs no matter who's the person involved but the fact of the matter is that no-one really knows and ultimately, that's not ou...

Re: ALAN MCNAMEE.

Why is everyone ignoring the big elephant in the corner ? You cant lead the life that Alan leads & still expect to compete at inter-county level. At present he should not be near the team & that is sad for Alan & for Offaly.

Re: Kildare vs Offaly - 2009 Football Championship

Not sure about some of these changes to be honest but having said that it was time for a fresh approach. There is no doubt that some players had grown stale and/or lost some motivation. Only time will tell if Cribben is a genius or if he has too much faith in these new inclusions. Its clever in one ...

Re: Offaly Minor Hurlers

When he told me what went on in the dressing room at half time i was appalled To be honest that kind of makes sense because what worried me most of all about Saturdays performance was the lack of spirit & fight in the young Offaly hurlers especially in the second half. These young players deser...

Re: Offaly Minor Hurlers

Does anybody have any idea why our minor hurlers are gone so bad? Not sure if I can answer that one but I can make a stab at answering why we were so poor today. To be honest we were out fought & out played. The conditions were terrible which played into their hands completely. It was trench wa...
