Re: Offaly Hurling 2020
One thing I disliked about Maughan this year was bringing in that chap from Kilmacud who wouldn't stand out on the Clonbullogue team never mind an intercounty football team! Lets pick develop our own players please. What does that mean Bracknaghboy? Was that a cheap dig at Clonbullogue - the club t...

LooseCannon,
That link isnt a proper link, its referencing a file on your own computer, hence why it cant be accessed.
Any chance you could email the master plan? Or maybe create a dropbox link if possible?
Would appreciate it a lot.
Thanks

Re: Semi-Finals
LS, odds on Rhode for the All Ireland Club? (No disrespect meant to Clara. Personally hope they can put in a massive performance) I'll field this bit first, since this is straightforward. 25/1 to win Leinster (maybe a touch of value in that) and 100/1 to win the All Ireland. One lad from Ferbane ha...

Re: Numbers
Thanks theman, and welcome back! Walsh Island is 'missing' and may be the eastern part of Bracknagh on the map I used. I wouldn't be familar with that part of the county (other than very occasionally travelling along the road from Rathangan to Portarlington). And if that is the case with Bracknagh,...

Re: Numbers
Here goes . . . I don’t have the 2016 census figures, so it’s based on the 2011 census which is unlikely to be materially different. Moneygall (in Tipperary for the GAA): Cullenwaine 703, Templeharry 210, Barna 156, Dunkerrin 359. TOTAL 1,428 Shinrone: Shinrone 965, Cangort 213, Ballincor 160. TOTA...

Re: James McCarthy Dublin
Brendan Kealys mother was a Kelly from Ballycumber Any update on James McCarthy's mother from Clonbullogue? Yes, his mother is from Clonbullogue. She moved away when she married. His older brother use to spend summers in the village and is still friendly with a few of the older players in the area....

Re: Rhode in Leinster
Hard luck to Rhode yesterday. It wasn't to be but they are still one of the best teams to come out of Offaly and to be fair they have been beaten by good teams in the Finals. Their persistance will pay off some day. Looking at that 2006 Leinster Final and the one thing that stands out to me is the a...

Re: Championship Odds
Intermediate will be Cappincur / Daingean / Bracknagh to fight over, with Cappincur best equipped to handle it. Won't mention Junior-A too much as I don't want to put the blink on it for our boys, but seems like only one winner there! :( I hope your not implying Ballycommon there? Clonbullog...

Re: football championship 2014
Just in response to theman. You say Clara are lucky to be in the Junior B Final. They played the semi final twice and won it twice. Lucky??? Well in one sense they are lucky as if Durrow hadn't of offered a replay they wouldn't be in the Final. But thats excluding the point. What I meant was lucky ...

Re: football championship 2014
Any predictions for the Weekend? Junior B Final Clara v Kinnity Think Kinnity should win this with 4/5 points to spare. Should be in the Junior A grade at least, if they took football serious. Clara I felt were lucky enough to get to the final. Junior A Final Clonbullogue v Daingean As a Clonbullogu...

Re: football championship 2014
Well I don't know, Lee Dempsey was in the local having a pint Saturday night. Unless he went back to tullamore later? No hatchet man tactics were employed I'm afraid. It was a late tackle alright but happens in all games. And as for thuggery? Ballycommon gave it as much as clonbullogue did. Your bee...

Re: football championship 2014
Was at the match. The ambulance staff took some abuse from the Clonbullogue manager and his language was appaling to them. They have a job to do and are qualified to do it. They should be let do it. No manager that I know of in Offaly is a qualified paramedic. The manager had no business being in t...

Re: football championship 2014
Think people should stop been sheep on here and jumping to conclusions. The Clonbullogue (get the spelling correct) player got a blow to his nose. He was a bit dazed as would anyone who got a blow to his nose. Clonbullogue made a blood substitute but due to an error on their selectors part they neve...

Re: football championship 2014
Very harsh suggesting KK and Football aren't a match made in heaven. Obviously they are hurling first, but at least they make a good effort at the football (Junior to Senior in 2 years with ease). Not easy to have two teams at senior and I feel they were right to stand up the County Board who are as...
