Re: Allianz-Hurling-league 1B

People around me were fairly frustrated with the referee pulling up players for too many steps however the ref was correct on the calls regarding steps, its just that the steps rule has been ignored by most referees for so long. Perhaps the best way to police the steps rule is to have "steps&q...

Re: Offaly Vs Wexford 2/6/12 Leinster Championship

A win is a win is a win. Wexfords comeback in the league game, Sextons efforts to keep them in the game and the fact that it's 12 years since Offaly beat the yellowbellies in championship hurling all made the last 15 minutes a nerve wrecking experience. Re: Offaly vs Tipperary

Wasn't able to go to Thurles but it sounded like a repeat of the pattern of last years leinster SF against Kilkenny ie competitive for fifty minutes concede a goal and finish up losing by a big margin. Did David Kenny and Conor Hernon play well? Gerry Russell credited them with having great games, i...

RTE unfairness?

On yesterdays six one news there was a piece about the new GAA rules and how they would effect hurling. They showed a selection short clips as examples of the different offences until the came to the offence of striking an opponent and for this they chose Paul Clearys pull on Martin Comerford in las...
