Re: Official Offaly Senior Hurling Team Thread 2013
Offaly lost by four points to Waterford today in a challenge match played in Heywood Community School. I know it's difficult to read anything into challenge matches but it was definitley an improvement on last weekend. I think Offaly scored around 1-21. Some of those Waterford hurlers are some mouth...

Also it's interesting to know the font of the number has changed for the first time that I can ever remember.

Re: New Offaly Jersey
I actually think the new jersey design is top class. Im a big fan although I'd say the player fit ones mightn't suit the more portly supporter. The lack of a collar will make it fairly radical. I'm sure the few gym monkeys we have on the panels would be delighted if it gets the thumbs up. POTH you d...

Re: Walsh Cup 2013
A terrible second half performance lead to Offaly getting a considerable beating today. We dominated the first 5 minutes and took a quick 3 point lead but for the next 10 minutes Wexford took over but in fairness for a 15 minute spell Offaly hurled really well and went ahead 1-10 to 0-06 when Shane ...

Re: County's best Championship team of last 50 years
Give me Martin Hanamy every day of the week over Ollie Canning. A large amount of these team selections are based on profile. Obviously Ollie Canning has a higher profile than Martin Hanamy or any other No.4 I can think of hence his selection. Not to say he wasn't a good hurler but the best No.4 of ...

Lost to Tipp 1-22 to 1-13. 0-04 in the second half is fairly dire at any team of the year. Re: Official Offaly Senior Hurling Team Thread 2013
Fair Play to you Club Faithful for letting us know about upcoming challenge matches.
Hopefully you"ll be able to keep that up during the Spring and Summer months when it"ll be possible to have midweek challenge games. Will probably go to Thurles now to see how things are shaping up.

Re: Official Offaly Senior Hurling Team Thread 2013
I see Offaly had a challenge match against Clare this morning in LIT which Clare won by 2-22 to 0-15. Seemingly Tony Kelly scored 0-13 for Clare. If he's looked after right, and there's no guarantee that will happen because of who the Clare manager is, he could prove a fantastic hurler for Clare. Wo...

Official Offaly Senior Hurling Team Thread 2013
Just said we might aswell get the one thread going for the hurlers. Went into OCP for the second half of an Offaly vs Kilcormac challenge match this morning. While it would be foolish to draw any conclusions at this time of the year, and particularly with the desperate weather conditions, it's clear...

I know you didn't, B. Portleix if it's Ballyhale; the home of hurling if it's against the Apple Field (Úll Gort being where they get Abhallart from) Never said they were........What are the possible venue's for the Leinster Final?? Didn't know Thurles was in the running for it Plain??? (Tounge firm...

Re: Hurling Championship
There had to have been more than 7,700 at the match. I would hazard a guess that anyone allowed in for free (U14's etc) weren't counted. The stand seemed to be two thirds full from where I was in the terrace. I'd have to agree with most of what Lone Shark and POTH have had to say about the match. It...

Time for an Offaly GAA Merchandise Shop in O'Connor Park
I was just browsing the oneills.com website and I must say the Offaly gear on there is fantastic. The only problem I have with buying O'Neills gear online is that the sizes can be fairly inconsistent year on year and you would really need to try the stuff on. Surely there is an opening in O'Connor P...
