Re: FOOTBALL AND HURLING DRAWS.

i think Kildare, Louth, Tipperary, Leitrim, Longford or Roscommon would be a good draw for the foorballers. Leitrim along with Sligo are Tommy Murphy Cup bound.. The full list is; Longford Meath Laois Offaly Tyrone Derry Donegal Roscommon Kildare Tipperary Monaghan Limerick Louth Cavan Westmeath/Du...

Re: Lets try make a bit of money!

Wexford are poor in the backs and Laois will have too much for them.

Limerick and Clare to draw.
Wexford to beat the Dubs by a 2/3 pts
Derry & Mayo for reasonably comfortable wins

Re: Hurling Rules being ignored

Slight change in subject (hurling to football) but in there with rules that are being totally ignored is the handpass/throw over the bar. Corner forwards coming in along the endline and somehow flinging the ball over the bar in what certainly is not a fisted score is now a weekly occurence in the Ch...

Re: Damning Sunday Tribune Article

if they Offaly lads were as good as bullying opposition players they would be better off. Some off the comments re Ward are disgraceful but you wouldn't expect anything else from the football fans in Offaly the North Offaly boys big men but can't stand up when counted on. I agree. Its interesting t...

Re: OFFALY V KILKENNY.

There certainly is no quick fix to our hurling woes and we have to be prepared for plently of beatings like sunday before we get back to the top table. The work really needs to be put in from age 8 to 14 to firstly get as many young fellas as possible out hurling and secondly give them the appropria...

If I was in charge of the team I would pick this team from the current set up. There at least ten lads not on the current panel who I would have in there, but there not in there for whatever reason... Re: Damning Sunday Tribune Article

The article loses a bit of credibility when the writer can't some basic facts right - Casey came on at half time against Waterford (not Kilkenny) and he was on the pitch for 25/30 minutes. If he can't get that bit spot on what does it say about the rest of it. That said, I think most would agree tha...

Re: Full Time Score 2-11 to 1-8

Yea perhaps not very assured at all at the time though thought he did okay. He was aiming at Smith for most of his kickouts, saved well from Glennon at the end and dealt with any loose kicks. I guess I was really searching for positives :) For the second goal I would put it down to disorganisation ...

Re: Full Time Score 2-11 to 1-8

Positive Niall Smith announced himself on the Inter County scene with a great fielding display. Even considering they were training so long there was passion in the performance. Padraig Kelly was very assured and his kickouts were impressive. [. Jasus Silken I have to pull you up on this one and I ...

I got to my seat about 45 minutes before throw in and at that stage it was full of Westmeath. The Offaly support in general seeemd to pour in late and were frantically searching for seats and this ended up in loads of people that came in together splitting up and taking just what seats were availabl...
