Re: St Vincents to enter a senior football team

This has been brewing for a few years now. There have been a few false dawns and several meetings over the last few years. This recent rise has been instigated by Cappincur, who charged 2 of their members with the task of contacting the other 3 clubs and seeing what framework would make this happen....

Re: New Jerseys Please - A call to all Fans

Why did they change the logo from the sort of traingle one with a hurler and footballer, to this new one which is basically "GAA" in a specific font. The new GAA in script is THE new logo and is taking over fron the triangular logo we were used to. Seemingly they got it hard to get the ol...

Re: High Flying Ballycumber!!!

Something I heard about a lad flying from Ballycumber to land on the roof of Golden Island Shopping Centre to get keys cut. :?

Obviously wanted to avoid the traffic.

Everything by O'Neills is over-designed, but I like the new jersey. BIG improvement over the previous.

Re: Map of Clubs

Could you tell me what "agreements" you know of? There are several similar to the Meath/Rhode/Clomnore mentioned above. One area I know is designated to Tullamore, but any footballers there play for a different club, and it's a sensitive issue, one I've only been told the outline story so...

Re: Map of Clubs

That's an Electoral Divisions Map, it's how the county is broken up for voting & administration. It's nothing really to do with GAA, because I know of a couple on instances where 'agreements' were reached over certain areas which would differ from the electoral map. I doubt there is an actual ma...

Re: BIFFO's - leaders of the free world

I find this Offaly-Obama connection a bit of a stretch at times, especially the use of the term 'ancestral home'! Let's see, his father is African, his mother is white American. His connection here is a great-great-great-grandfather. Tenuous to say the least, a sixth generation relative. Whereas Joe...

Re: New Proposed Airport for Offaly

The fact that Dublin Airport is soo busy and soo gridlocked, it might make sense to have a feeder regional airport to relieve traffic on the main airport. They could attract a lot of the package holiday flights which are continuously delayed due to their night-time slots in the busy main airports. I...

What happens if he gets jailed in the middle of the Leinster Championship or whatever? He is bound to be side-tracked Be sensible. How would being in jail affect your ability to manage Offaly? Sure, aren't most of the country's criminal gangs run from the prison cell??????? Where does Off...
