Re: Leinster SHC 2011-Dublin v Offaly
Yee should be glad the game is on in Dublin. It gives some of yee the chance to get out of the most depressing county in Ireland for the day. Ha ha. This sort of INTERNET wumming might have been passable back around 1999. Its fairly lame nowadays though. I don't even think it was passable in the la...

The anecdote where Tom Furlong met Seán Ó Neill in San Francisco is a must for this book!

Re: No more U12 Championship
Folks I am still not sure on this one and I have thought for a long time about it. Lads on the sidelines roaring at young lads and girls disgusts me. This should not be tolerated and refs should just stop matches if it goes on. The Go games are great - I am all for them. But I don't know if the U12 ...

Re: Dooley set to continue
Plain I am not sure if Hogan or anyone would come in and make fantasculous progress with the hurlers but I certainly think it is time for a change at this stage as we are treading water. I think the two you mentioned would have more potential. Or looking at it another way, would Joe Dooley have take...

Wasn't Ken Hogan appeoached or strongly rumoured to take over Offaly after John McIntyre in 1997 but they gave it to Babs instead?

Páidí Ó Sé - 28 years of bitterness and delusion
From the Sunday Independent http://www.independent.ie/sport/gaelic-football/like-kerry-in-82-the-hype-had-a-paralysing-effect-on-kilkenny-2334590.html I, like any other member of the 1982 Kerry team, can identify totally with the impact of all this on the Kilkenny team's mental disposition. Kilkenny...

Re: 2010 Hurling championship - Where does it leave Offaly
Great posts on this thread. I think the tier 2 teams are well within striking range - Cork are in need of new blood and are weaker at underage than in previous years. Waterford are going into their third year with Davy Fitz - it's hard for managers to keep it going with that style into a third year....
