Re: Decision time for West Offaly Lions
I believe the geographical rule has existed for a while, but it wasn't enforced until now. I think the Connacht branch have already accepted the IRFU decision to have them play in Leinster. WOL should get on with it and move. Birr play in Leinster after all, so its hardly a big logistical issue to ...

I thought this was odd too - PJ Ward hasn't been available for the league matches has he?Lone Shark wrote:Bord na Mona man wrote:...... Offaly, who were once again without PJ Ward......
We were also without Niall McNamee. One would have thought his name was more worthy of mention. Just thought that was a bit odd.

Re: Pat Flanagan favourite for Westmeath job
It's hard to know if this is a job to avoid with a bargepole or a useful one to take on on a short term basis, given that Westmeath are at rock bottom morale and results wise. The Hackett regime will be looked back on as a disaster, regardless or not of whether he had great long term plans. I recall...

Did Paddy Collins train Kerry in 1981 in the changes to the handpass rule or was that just a nonsense rumour?

The Rafferty brothers should be involved here. This would solve problems in the full back line

Hi.

Re: Grouchy Old Man
Hi I think bad grammar and spelling is tolerable. But this text speak is just ridiculous. With a full keyboard in front of you it's more difficult to use text speak. I know some users might be submitting posts from mobiles or such devices but I am against persistent text speak and these contribution...

Re: Offaly vs. Limerick NHL 28/03/2010
The hurling league is difficult to formulate a structure for because ultimately there are big gaps between the different levels and also within levels. When it was 1a, 1b 2a, 2b etc, it wasn't ideal in that teams that came up from division 2 to division 1 were hockeyed. If you look at what is in div...

Re: Offaly V Roscommon NFL 07/03/2010
Good to get the win anyways and some good scores taken up front. Some great play by Niall Mc and Reynolds to get some really class scores from play. Some negatives to take away too. Roscommon (who were very poor) didn't have to work tremenduously hard or use any craft or guile to get scores. If they...

Midlands 103 sports coverage
OK I'm starting a topic of its own today. Now I've slagged off Midlands 103 before but I really want to be constructive about this. Midlands 103 covered the Portlaoise v Kilmurray match today and switched to Cork v offaly for commentary and updates. I was listening on the INTERNET and the coverage f...

What is the crack lads? They are remaining based in Dublin and potentually just playing inter county for Offaly is it instead of sticking with Dublin?
