Re: Offaly 2-16 Laois 2-15
First of all, congratulations to the team and management. There were heroes, there were (almost) villans, but Offaly got there in the end. Offaly really don’t ‘do’ momentum, do they? Build up an early lead, then they watch Laois erode that lead. Go four points ahead following an inspirational score...

Re: 2012 Leinster Club Championships
Well done to K/K on their win. I thought it was a decent game for the conditions, good hard hurling and fair. PotH I don't think you'll find any R/E supporter that will think they were robbed. For sure they will have regrets about that missed goal opportunity, but that's sport. K/K got their purple ...

Re: All Ireland Club Hurling Championship 2012-2013
Good stuff Slieve Bloom Man. As someone who will be supporting Rathdowney/Errill on Sunday it's a super opportunity for one of the "lesser knowns" to make a Leinster final. After their maiden win in Offaly, K/K will be favourites to come through the easier side, but if they take Mount Lein...

Re: Offaly minor hurlers
I wouldn't say confidence is sky-high in Laois POTH. The truth of the matter is that there seems to be very little between any of the teams left if results to date are any indication. PaddyPower have Offaly as favourites, and I'd venture that bookmakers get these calls right more often than journali...

Lads, any truth in the rumour that Rory Hannify is moving to midfield on Sunday? The Laois team named is: 1.Paddy Mullaney. 2.Cahir Healy. 3.Pakie Cuddy. 4.Brian Campion. 5.Joe Fitzpattrick. 6.Michael McEvoy. 7.Jimmy Hyland. 8.Joe Phelan. 9.James Young. 10.Seamus Dwyer. 11.Darren Rooney. 12.Philip R...

Wasn't at the game myself but my brother is involved with the Laois minors so he went along for a look. He didn't go into the game in detail but according to him Offaly were extremely lucky to get anything from the game, nevermind win it. That's the second time this group of Carlow hurlers have been...

Leinster V.S Final
Any views or interest in this years Leinster V.S Final between Banagher and St.Fergals, Rathdowney? There has always been a healthy rivalry between the two schools but it has intensified considerably in the last 5 or so years with the teams meeting in crunch games every year. Unfortunately both semi...

Thanks LS. Would playing R.Hannify at centre-back not be robbing Peter to pay Paul though? Might do for a year, but I'd be more inclined to have Joe Bergin at 6 and Rory at 11. Joe has the size and hurling, I agree he is tempermental but then, what minors aren't? Yeah I figured the minors would be h...

The future of Offaly hurling.
Good day ladies and gentlemen, I happen to stumble across this G.A.A site and am impressed by the quality of G.A.A talk on board. Anyway, as a lover of the great game of hurling I was wondering where are Offaly heading? I know ye are not as bad as the score against Kilkenny would suggest, at the sam...
