Interesting you say that.
I thought today, as I listened to Mark McHugh speak after the final whistle, if we had Mark McHugh over us rather than Declan & Mickey what position would we be in ??
The players all seem to have the attitude they’d die for McHugh and all so close. We, on the contrary ...

Re: Club Football 2026
The same fella also mentioned to me that Ferbane played Clara in the league and Carl Stewart is back playing for them at 6 and looked dangerous

Re: Club Football 2026
Iv heard this morning from a fairly reliable source that Leon Fox, Joe Maher, Ronan Maguire, Jack Egan & Bernard Corcoran have all returned to play for Ferbane this year.
And there were fellas in this forum that tried to tell me Ger Rafferty wasn’t an issue in Ferbane the last few years.

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
It's truly amazing as a county how we thrive off being the underdog or playing a better team to rise to the occassion. I thought to myself when the Tailteann draw was made, and we got Clare, I thought that was a great draw because we'd be going in with no expectations. If we drew a Waterford or ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
I can see players who haven't featured much getting game time in the Tailteann. Our League and championship players didn't exactly work so I can see them throwing in lads who haven't featured yet in hope of some turnaround.

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Playing Galway in a challenge this eve in Claregalway.
You are well briefed for a man swearing vengeance on management....you clearly have one focus in mind.
So tell us, how did the game go after?
I wasn't at the game, but anyone could hear about a challenge match that's on. I haven't a ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Completely agree.
As I've stated before, the Kelly ripple effect of ruining young footballers confidence will be felt for years. Players who we may never see play again. That u20 win was a huge huge gloss over the many players he single handedly ruined. Sounds very harsh, but it is true. Even talk ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
That's exactly it Kevin.
Interesting Pat Spillane even copped/called out the Offaly management using the "injuries" excuse so much this year.
I found it unusual for management to be using that excuse so often. It's kind of just sticking the knife into the lads that were out on the field who just ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
I heard at the weekend reports of management/coaches slating our full forward line players and calling them out in front of the rest of the team that they're not scoring enough etc.
Anyone hear any info on this or bad man management of certain players?
I personally feel players should just go back ...

Re: U20 Footballers
One man who famously hates Rhode and was also Offaly director of football at underage and Offaly Senior Football Manager.
One man who dropped Cian Mcnamee off an u14 Panel for going to play a soccer match.
One man who has dropped or prized any Rhode man out of the senior football team.
In case you ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Having said that, I still think it is quite mad not starting Harry Plunkett.
With the 2 pointers being so crucial now, he's nearly a cert from most 2 point frees off the right foot, as well as 1 pointers too. For that alone he should be starting in my eyes and could prove costly.

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Best team we've started all year I would say.
Laois also look strong.
Going to be a 50/50 game, but we should edge it.
Our bench of Bryant, Bracken, Higgins, Plunkett is strong and should hopefully edge it for us.
Anyone else not make the 26 panel that we're aware of? No Johnson on the 26, Ciaran ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Shockingly some people did expect Offaly to do well in div 2 of senior football league without the players who played 1, 3, 6, 11, 12 , 13 , 15 last year....let's support all the lads now who are doing there best for us in football and hurling
Our 13 and 15 were back in the league in case you ...
