Simply, win today and we have a chance. Lose or draw and we are gone.
Cork did us a favour last night and I’ve a feeling Louth will do the same against Kildare.
Two wins and we are safe.

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
I’m not going to take sides on the management or current squad situation, but let’s pray and hope a miracle happens and all of our injured players are back. What is everyone’s predicted team/matchday panel.
By Laois, you’d pray to see;
1. Dunican
2. McDaid
3. Dempsey
4. Pearson
5. O’Toole Greene ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
So from this list, we are missing;
Paddy Dunican
John Furlong
Dylan Hyland
Shane Tierney
Jack Bryant
Cathal Flynn
Kyle Higgins
Include Cillian Bourke and Aidan Bracken and that’s 9 of last years STARTING TEAM who are not there currently through injury an AFL.
Any word on when some of these lads ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Going off our first half, you’d be very happy with the future.
Going off the second half, you’d be very worried.
Positives;
Our midfield was better than in other years with us generally winning our own ball and Leavy and McEvoy certainly improving.
We had a spread of 2 point scorers. Good to ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Team named for Sunday. Still a solid team, but it’ll be interesting to see how the newcomers fare.
Hopefully we get some players back soon also. Injuries have left us short of at least 5 starters in Cathal Flynn, Tierney, Dunican, Hyland, Furlong, Higgins.

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Solid performance. Yes Meath were missing a good few, but so are we with 3/4 starters missing. Hyland, Furlong, Tierney, Flynn, Johnson and Higgins injured.
Also a few playing Sigerson like Harry Plunkett, Darragh Flynn, Cathal Ryan.
I said it last year but Jordan Hayes is becoming a serious ...

Was Sampson expected to retire? Considerably experienced player who’s always done well.

Offaly Senior Football 2026
With the 2025 thread now starting to chat about the upcoming year, and new panel, challenge matches etc., probably time to begin afresh.
Biggest thing this year will be survival at D2, and the most interesting thing in the off season has to be what kind of panel we have come Louth in January ...

Harry Plunkett starting. Darragh Flynn and a few other new players involved also. Ciarán Murphy from Skerries Harps at wing forward. Do we know anything about him?

Cillian Bourke is a huge loss but we can’t begrudge him the chance of professional sport. I wish him absolutely all the best as he represents the Faithful Down Under.

Offaly Hurling 2026
Provisional Fixture List is out.
3 home, 3 away. Any kind of win would be massive but hopefully it brings us on for Leinster.

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2025
Think this a genuinely good fixture list. 4 at home. 3 away. We wouldn’t expect to beat Tyrone or Derry and those games being away is totally fine. Kildare are familiar to us with 2/3 wins last year.
The home games are crucial. Yes Louth are Leinster winners but Harte knows them well. Meath are ...
