Re: Offaly Under 20s hurling 2024
Yes these teams met a minor level in 2021 in nowlan park. Kilkenny had a comfortable 3.23 to 1.16 win. Factor in the loss of Ravenill who is our probably 1 of the best players in this group and his size. Kilkenny have been preparing a while now for this game knowing it was coming and some of their b...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2024
Yesterday was nothing to do with tactics. Dublin are on a different level physique wise. It was like Dublin seniors playing the Dublin minors in a challenge match. I know a lot of the Offaly lads and I know the work they put in at training and even the days they aren't training . I'm not sure how D...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2024
I think it's fair to say Offaly Laois and westmeath there is not too much between them all. I think some lads are getting ahead of ourselves with some performances in the league but really we were playing mostly second string teams. We have improved but I also think Laois and Westmeath have too. Th...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2024
Jesus, two teams who would see ourselves on par with realistically. After decent ish performances in the league them results don't do anything for confidence, worrying. Jaysus boys. Hammerings from Carlow and Antrim. Thats a pretty ominous sign coming into championship. I do worry that we are well ...

Re: U20 footballers 2024
Boys just go out an win the shaggin yoke. Focus on winning and let everything else work out if its meant to work out. Ive seen too many poor teams go out and beat Offaly teams. just focus on getting the job done and winning the game.

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2024
Fair dues i admire your confidence. Id say at this point that westmeath are joe mc favourites, give their arguably better performances against a similar level of opposition that we’ve faced. Westmeath will be favourites for the Joe McDonagh, and Offaly have made significant progress this year. Thos...

Re: Offaly Under 20s 2024
the line up when this group were minor in the link below. Suffered a big defeat to Kilkenny 3.23 to 1.16. https://www.midlands103.com/news/sports/offaly-minor-hurlers-enter-leinster-championship-at-semi-final-stage/ Alot of the lads have had minor and u20 success since that game but there is no guar...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2024
Yes as the boys suggest id imagine hogan will play in the full back line. In general the half back line needs to have more structure. its well and good to have nice footballers who can push forward but its leaving a gap down the centre and then if wing backs are more used to be playing as attackers ...

Re: Junior A Hurling Championship 2024
Always a decent championship. plenty of decent standard teams. Strange they left it with 11 teams and uneven groups? I think both carrig riverstown and shamrocks both gave a number of walkovers last year and with there being a junior C championship this year, those 2 should of been dropped to junior...

Intermediate Football Championship
Intermediate football looks like it could be competitive. Question. Will st rynaghs have the players from their minor championship winning team that are from outside the club? a few big strong lads that are potential future adult county players
