Re: Club football championship 2023

People in Tullamore had already been fed up with how the team is set up and their style of play but today will be the final nail in the coffin, I'd expect Niall Stack to step down in the coming weeks. As for the guy in the blue hoodie, a lengthy ban is incoming one would suspect. They were surely m...

Re: Club football championship 2023

Tullamore haven’t produced an inter county forward since Paddy Fenning in the 70s. You’d swear they had half the county forward line playing for them the way some people go on. They nearly won today the same way they always win. Tight at the back and majority of scores coming from their backs. If th...

Re: Club football championship 2023

Westmeath final finished 9-7. Laois final finished 7-6. People talking about attacking kicking football may as well be talking about Offaly going back to ground hurling. Teams are doing what they have to do to win within the current rules of the game.

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023

Mundy’s performance lasted longer the match itself. KK started off like a team who had lost their last three county finals. Shinrone started off like the team who went 6 points down to Birr in O Conor Park. Man on man in their back line and they could easily have been 10 points down after 10 mins. T...

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023

Two best teams into the county final and it should be a great occasion in Birr Sunday week. Please god the rain stays away. They both play the same way really, flood the middle with bodies and try pick out their two men left inside with nice ball. And supplement that with a few scores from their sho...

Re: Club football championship 2023

The Dowling Cup is back in Tullamore and that’s all that matters to the boys in blue. The better team won but there’ a number of Ferbane players in for a long winter as the game passed them by. A lot of talk about the the lack of quality in the match. This is modern football. Kick passes are a thing...

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023

Great game in tullamore yday afternoon. It's easy to run down Offaly hurling but the championship still produces exciting games once it reaches the knock out stages and there is a wider spreader of quality clubs that the usual 4 teams in the football. After winning a semi final in dramatic circumsta...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2023

A completely pointless match today. When you saw the beatings Westmeath were taking in the championship it was always going to be a difficult one as Westmeath are a nice bit ahead of Offaly. The bigger counties have pulled the ladder up after them. Once the they started harnessing all the advantages...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2023

Dissapointing end to the season. The writing was on the wall after last week. 4 sending offs in 2 games shows a lack of discipline and a team that are fed up and ready for the county year to be over. It’s been an enjoyable year and fair play to the players. Offaly’s best year since 2006 with 2 Leins...
