Re: Offaly Senior Footballers - Planning for 2025, Mickey Harte onboard
I understand the issues in relation to DK and the new arrangements but Mickey Harte is massive name and has won a lot in his time to disregard this appointment and to somehow twist it onto Michael Duignan as a black mark is ludicrous. The same would probably say in 5 years time that not enough was ...

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2024
Made it to Rynaghs v Tullamore this evening.
Poor enough fare, Rynaghs kept tullamore at arms length for most of the game. Conneely and Rigney stood out for me but they were never really troubled.
You would have to wonder with Tullamore. They are very dependent on Dooley who is in the twilight ...

Re: Offaly Under 20s hurling 2024
Just sharing my story from last years u20 final: .
To the wonderful Leo O’Connor and his management team – hold your heads high, take a bow as you are rightly entitled to do. Outside managers have served us well; Healy, McGee, Cregan and Bond – let’s hope O’Connor gets added to that list shortly ...

Re: Offaly Under 20s hurling 2024
Shane Rigney Captained the Offaly Schools . Conor Doyle , Eoin Burke , Conor Duncan and Alex Kavanagh would probably be ahead of him in the pecking order . Interesting question alright

Re: Offaly Minor Football and Hurling 2023
The very best of luck to Banagher tomorrow great opportunity for a promising group of players. Did they manage to turnover the red card from the last day??Easy to imagine a tough opposition but Banagher at full strength will be tough beat . Also good luck to Killina in their game vs Newport . Good ...

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023
With seedings in play the groups will be consist of:
Kilcormac/Killoughey or Shinrone
Ballinamere or St Rynaghs
Birr or Coolderry
Belmont or Tullamore
Kinnitty or Seir Kieran
Great to hear . I would imagine we will have confirmation soon many counties have launched their fixture plan and games ...

Re: Parish Rule
BK have been decimated population wise over the past number of years, hence the two clubs coming together. During the 90s ,if they had amalgamated sooner they would have contested or won a County final.
Even at their peak of success, they also had another club in the county courting one of their ...

Re: Parish Rule
Following on from Luke Watkins’ controversial transfer from Ballyskenagh/Killavilla to Shinrone the Carney twins are now looking to follow the same path.
If you were a member of Ballyskenagh/Killavilla you’d have to fairly disillusioned with all this.

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023
Scoring just 0-3 in the first half wasn’t enough for KK. Much improved second period.

Totally agree I think they knew 3pts was never going to cut it , they’ll be disappointed with some of the mistakes in shot selection and shooting departments although OLG weren’t exactly razor sharp up ...

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023
Kk vs Shinrone Final I guess
Would I be right in saying that 2007 was the last time a team won the 1st and 2nd tier competition. Birr . KK could win a few As and Bs over the coming years with a constant flow of new players to join with the current strength. Could be difficult for players winning Bs ...

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023
Should be only 8 teams in senior A.
And go back to intermediate and junior A scrap senior B.
It would be alot more competitive as it was a few years ago.
I think this should be discussed. We have the same structure as Galway and Tipperary Championships and we have 20 clubs. 8 Senior ,8 inter ...

Re: Junior A Hurling Championship 2023
Ballinamere seem so ahead of the rest in this championship , Especially with todays results . Brosna Gaels on 6 points after playing 1 game is a bit of a joke on the other side. Are Carrig and Riverstown relegated after conceding all their group games.
