Re: offaly 2013
What impressed me about this game yesterday was the workrate off the ball from Offaly and surprislingly the lads looked sharp for this time of year, Niall Mac looks on fire which is great to see but one thing that none of us would hope to see this year happened in that the new management have him si...

R.I.P Kieran McEvoy
Heard the news this evening that Kieran McEvoy has passed away suddenly, a huge shock to everyone in Port and all over the County, may he rest in peace.

Re: SF Challenge, Offaly vs Laois, tonight in Mountmellick
Have to agree with Snowy on Richie Dalton not being a full back, he has the touch of the Conor Evan's in that he stands way too far off his man and is way too easily turned, Mark Dunne was superb kicking some lovely points, I just noticed last night Tommo Deehan wasn't on the programme or I didn't s...

Re: Offaly minor hurlers
Speaking to a Camross man today, he was under the impression it's in Portlaoise at 7pm on Saturday evening.

Niall Smith has now left the panel apparently due to work commitments so the situation is going from worse to worse again

Re: Relegated
So Sharp Eye you reckon we just carry on the way things are right now and accept the current situation without at least trying to clear some of the carnage that currently stands, yeah maybe your'e right nobody seems to give a FF right now

Re: Relegated
I actually haven't posted on this site in quite a long time but I realised nobody was giving yesterday's game any mention at all. Something is very seriously wrong with Offaly football at present, the management set up is all wrong which probably goes back to the messing over appointing the new mana...

Offaly football finally sank to the bottom yesterday in a truely dreadful game of so called football. I have to say in all of Offaly's league games this year the first half performance had to be seen to be believed with only a marginal improvement in the second half, never looked like hitting the ne...

Re: new football manager
I think he would love a crack at the Galway job if offered to him and of course if the carrot is juicy enough, certainly if he was to become Offaly manager in 2012[ and that is a massive IF] then the interest in the county would be sensational with players and supporters alike and could you just ima...

Re: new football manager
Real Rob, I was working with a selector on that Ballymore team of that time and he was very critical of Kavanagh's attidude and dreadful poor form at the time, the James Kavanagh of today is a different player to one of 5 years ago and also the Kildare squad of 5 years ago were going nowhere fast ei...

Re: new football manager
Tom Cribben gave an interview on one of the radio stations a few weeks back when he answered a question about the drink culture in the squad and I'm very surprised nobody else has picked up on this, he's answer to the drink question was ''Ah the lads know they are not to take a drink 2 weeks before ...

Re: Offaly V Limerick SFCQ 09/07/2011
Lads, any chance we can cut out the civil war amongst ourselves, everybody is pissed off the way this year has turned out with our hurlers and footballers with no progress on either front, on yesterday's game, management and players have to take collective responsibility, effort wasn't a problem, th...

Re: Limerick away
This game will probably be in the Gaelic grounds, it will be tough but it could have been an awful lot worse.

I found out today that the funeral that we cursed coming out of Mountmellick was a Gran Aunt of mine
