We certainly can't complain about the draws. Our footballers have an excellent chance of at least reaching a Leinster final.Surely after last year's disaster in croker, revenge will surely drive the lads to take Westmeath in what will probably be a double header along with Meath v Louth at headquart...

You hit the nail on the head LS, I had intended going to Parnell but with the Birr game now on TG4, the clever thing to do would be to record the hurling, watch it on Sunday night and head for Tullamore for the Rhode game, meaning having the joy of seeing the two of them, depending of course on the ...

Turk and Bare Biffo, don't be such voices of doom, at least wait and see how the draw turns out before we write the obituaries. For God sake lads where is the faith.

Our footballers will be in a hat for a first round draw where we will be drawn against Meath, Carlow, Wicklow, Longford, Louth or Westmeath. I would'nt mind who we get, so long as it is not Meath which would be a nasty little obstacle to clear for our first game.

Excellent preview LS. I personally believe that even though Birr will face a step up in class in UCD on Sunday, if they show the same drive and hunger that they showed all year, Birr will have six to eight points to spare come full time, but the attitude has got to be spot on.

We are going to have to choose on Sunday between Rhode in Tullamore an Birr in Parnell Park.

I Just wish that when we lose a game that every Tom, Dick AND Harry does'nt blame Mac for the defeat. This year on May 29 in Croker when we lost that horrible game to Laois, the world and its mother seemed to put the blame on poor oul Mac. We kicked 19 wides that day, Mac kicked either 4 or 5 wides[...

Can I ask you, True Red, seeing that you're next door to you're great rivals, Im curious to know do you give Rhode any chance of winning the leinster? In my opinion i believe if they get over Rathnew [which i believe they will], I think they have an excellent chance, especially with Portlaoise now o...

As far as i know LS, I think we are at home to Antrim. We are listed first in the newspapers so im pretty sure we have home advantage, but i can't be absolutely certain.

O'Byrne plus Walsh cups

I see in today's Indo that the draws for the O'Byrne and Walsh cups were made with our footballers taking on the might of Kilkenny and our hurlers have a home draw with Antrim in the new year.

''Rynaghs'' as I've said im my above piece, its got to be Scott Brady for centre back, its where he lines out for Clara and he has stated in an interview, [ I think it was in the express or the Tullamore Tribune last year but I stand to be corrected] that his preference would be centre back for the ...

An excellant and very accurate report Loan shark, and fair play in you're marking on Padraig Kelly's usual heart stopper in the second half. I know im sounding like a broken down record but he really seems to have one of these crazy moments in every game.

I have to disagree with Lone shark. I really think Mac would be best suited to wing half forward where i believe he would'nt have to feel under pressure to cover every blade of grass, and he would be perfect to cover the diamond area around midfield and our own half back line. I think at this stage ...

I think the problem with the Irish squad is that there are too many nice footballers, and as parts of the media have stated its crazy to expect all Ireland winners and runners up, after having to perform at their very peak just a couple of weeks before, to try to adjust to a totally different game w...

Get behind Maccer

Is'nt it about time our so called supporters got off Ciaran McManus's back. Im sick and tired of people constantly critisizing the heartbeat of our senior side. How is it that every time we lost a game over the last couple of years all the snide remarks start coming out about Mac being the main reas...
