Re: CORK V OFFALY 13/02/2011.
Going into Pairc ui Chaoimh yesterday if someone had said to me ye will lose by 5 points today I would have taken it but coming out afterwards I was very disappointed we didn't win the damn thing, this was the poorest Cork team I have seen in quite some time and I'm convinced that any other Div 1 te...

Re: CORK V OFFALY 13/02/2011.
In modern day hurling the battles with the half back and half forward lines are crucial with the winning and losing of games, Gardiner is a legend forever in Cork hurling, Ryan is fairly handy himself, this guy from Millstreet is I imagine totally unknown outside Cork, I'm taking a wild guess in thi...

Thanks for the tip about the Pairc POTH, BUT I will already be down there for Valentines from Saturday, it would be a whore if the game was called off due to the poxy weather

CORK V OFFALY 13/02/2011.
If Dennis Walsh was able to choose an opponent for his opening fixture of the league then there is no doubt Offaly would be that opponent. After being at the UCD and Carlow games I have noticed a real sense of doom amongst the very small band of supporters that have been at both games, I have spoken...

Re: Offaly team for NUIG walsh cup - 15/01/2011
Yeah it was very worrying alright, he got a knee in the back of the head going up for a ball, nothing malicious I might add and then from where I was in the stand he looked like he fell on his head, immediatly he was motionless, never moved a muscle, players from both sides were concerned and after ...

OFFALY V CAVAN 06/02/2011
Might as well get the ball rolling here on this one, a tough opener for Offaly and a must win, lose this one at home in the first game and promotion is gone with more than likely a relegation battle ahead, it will probably be a scrappy affair with two fairly even teams with no more than a point or t...

Re: Interview with Paul O'Kelly
O'Kelly was not given any sufficent time to stamp his mark which was a great shame, Gerry Fahey was treated the very same, his crime and this is true was to be the first manager to lose to Westmeath in 55 years in 2004, I got this information from a very reliable scource, ya just couldn't make it up...

Re: O'Byrne Cup 2011
The obvious problem lads is we just don't have the players full stop, there are 2 top class footballers in the county, Niall Mac and Thomas Deehan and thats it and word on the grapevine is that Deehan just doesn't want to know, maybe some of the Clara guys can clear this up, I actually feel sorry fo...

Re: O'Byrne Cup 2011
The league is just 2 weeks away and can anybody seriously see Offaly getting anything out of the Gaelic grounds, Mullingar or Drogheda, in my opinion no, we might and it's only a might sneak a win in Dungarvan if we are lucky but I wouldn't be too optimistic about that either, the 3 home games are w...

Re: O'Byrne Cup 2011
That was shocking to say the least, the difference in fitness levels were poles apart, the pace, support play and physical strenght of this Dublin team made our lads look like a bad junior team. What in the name of Jaysus are the Offaly lads doing during the winter months that they are so far behind...

Re: Offaly v DCU
Somehow I think there is little fear of a traffic jam in Rhode on Wednesday night, the interest in this game and the Dublin v Westmeath game tomorrow night in Mullingar will be nil.

O'Byrne Cup 2011
Heard the panel had their first training session yesterday, minus the Rhode lads of course so weather permitting it all kicks off again next Sunday in O Connor PK. Being a college team Dcu will obviously be very fit so the game will probably tell feck all about Offaly with fitness going to play a ma...
