Re: League & Championship hurling 2022
Belmont will be a hard team to beat, they will be delighted Rynas are gone and they have Shinrone in a semi final, they fully believe this is their chance, and now no football final to consume them either.

Re: League & Championship hurling 2022
Huge chance, Rynas looked a tired team yesterday and seem to have pressed their own self destruct button this year with lads coming and going and in fairness they had injuries to. Good luck to the rest, all to play for now.

Re: League & Championship hurling 2022
Yeah good point. Presume they are gone for the rest of the year
Word from Banagher is both O Connor and Treacy still out of the country this weekend as they were for Kinnity game and others missing through injury, so all doesn't seem well there. Hughes who has been injured supposed to ...

Re: Offaly Hurlers 2022
There isn't a rich pool of candidates available, inside or outside the county.
These days, you're no longer choosing just a manager, you're picking an entire coaching and backroom set up.
This makes it harder to appoint people who aren't actively involved and with a crew of trusted people who work ...

Won the Celtic Challenge with Offaly, represented Offaly at Minor and U20, was a real proper hurler, god help his family, friends and his teammates, RIP Aidan.

Re: Huring back in Birr
This was a Cork team operating in third gear, if they didn't think they were the Harlem Globetrotters at times, they would have crucified us altogether. Thank god the pitch cut up so bad, can you imagine playing them in Pairc Ui Chaoimh or Tullamore. Offaly were so tactically naive it was scary ...

Congrats Michaela Morkham on a super career, and thanks for all your efforts, a player that would make any team in any County and grace any pitch!

Re: Club Hurling championship
Fair play to Rynaghs, heart breaking stuff but gave a great account of themselves. Probably the first time in the 2021 Championship they hurled really well after a brutal start to the game losing their full back and shipping two soft goals. If Ballyhale are heading to Dublin on Sunday with injuries ...

Re: Club Hurling championship
For the dreamers here who expect last Sunday's game to have a positive effect on the Offaly Senior intercounty team:
In November 2014, Kilcormac drew with Ballyhale and only lost in extra time. Following year, Offaly Seniors were at nothing.
In November 2018, Coolderry drew with Ballyboden St ...

Re: Club Hurling championship
You're probably right most hurling folk probably couldn't be bothered following this site, and you wouldn't blame them when you see some of the comments. Hard luck Tullamore Footballers at the weekend, it was harsh having to play after Sen B hurling Sat. Still a great year with underage football ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2020
It's hard on the Dubs in fairness having to be without key players due to U20 Football final, our dual players back in the squad a long time ago, but that's the way it goes. Their loss is our gain.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2020
Minors should win comfortably, we are decent and apparently Kildare v poor this year. 20s will win well I think, we have a really big strong team who can hurl, and time of year won't do any harm, plus Dubs are without their dual players due to U20 Football All Ireland. Unbelievable chance to reach ...
