Re: DIV 3 NFL predictions and general chit chat.
"Can we all appreciate how difficult it was for him to go from scoring 6 points against Dublin in an O’Byrne Cup game at 18 years old sitting the leaving cert to being forced to sit on the sidelines for almost 2 years because of some stupid rule invented by Tommy Byrne?" This above is the ...

Re: DIV 3 NFL predictions and general chit chat.
Great second half from Offaly yesterday. But why in the name of God did they allow Longford the ball for the entire first half practically? When we have the wind we dont press, when the wind is a form of press in itself!? Hats off to Anton, his performances, including the County final have been very...

Few things: Plenty of jobs to plug the gap between 66/67 Less people this month homeless Someone has to put there hand up for the job and the best of luck to them Country needs a bit of consistency and bite the bullet on making a few strategic decisions to protect the long term future, (broadband, p...

Re: DIV 3 NFL predictions and general chit chat.
I Think the biggest risk is how they handle the pressure that is going to come with the Longford game. No one expected Offaly to beat Cork on Sat night, (no one on here that I saw of). So what Offaly need to do against Longford is deliver a mature performance for 70mins and the result will look afte...

Has Richie Dalton been involved with any teams before?
Don't think he's done anything with Tullamore college where he teaches.

Re: Sigerson/Fitzgibbon 2020
Great to see an Offaly player make a serious mark on this competition, and the best of luck to him in the semi final. Michael Murphy heavily involved with Letterkenny as a coach and a good sprinkling of Donegal seniors.

Don't get carried away with being the only player to produce a bit of magic!
Brian Carroll not long gone, James Dempsey has been a superb keeper, Ben Conneely up there with our best defenders.

Don't think Shane Tierney is on the OY panel, not sure whether his decision or mgt's.

Re: O’Byrne Cup
TMAC, There is no county out there at present with their best 15 players in terms of talent or ability on the field, including Longford. I take your point re the lads you have named but you can only deal with who is available and who is willing to commit, Niall Mc is still struggling from the Clara ...

Congratulations to Michael and Ballyhale on their fantastic achievement.
Apparently he was in Kilcormac yesterday morning for training also before heading onto Croke park, so that sends out a message around his committment to our cause also.

Re: O’Byrne Cup
Poor enough performance and Longford were a bit more streetwise. Maughan has some tough decisions to make I think. I would say that they are not tough in terms of looking at performances of individuals, but in that he has been loyal to some players who IMO have not delivered. Someone here mentioned ...
