Re: Football panel 2008

Sorry lads i jus noticed that i forgot Ger Rafferty. Has to get the corner back slot ahead of James Keane. Rafferty always gives it his all and is more effective than Keane as a man marker if not skill wise. Im aware theres some players ive listed that didnt get called in but i stated them because t...

Football panel 2008

I Know this wont be everybody's favourite team but i think this is the team and panel that could do well for Offaly if trained right, tactics are correct (crowding midfield which is the counties weakest area) and all players give full commitment. 1.P Kelly, 2.S Egan, 3.C Evans, 4.J Keane, 5.J Hurst ...

Re: Roe combs Offaly in search for new talent

Roe and his backroom team seem to have gone out of their way to show that everybody in the county is being gibvin a fair shot and all grades are been looked at. The selection of the 109 players clearly shows signs of a management team trying to show that they are more than willing to give Intermedia...

Yes the reds would be well capable of beaten them on their day. So would Ferbane and maybe Gracefield. Tullamores midfield lost them the game against eire og and won it in the 2nd half against shamrocks along with an inspired Cathal Daly performance. Says it all.

Yeah lone shark is bang on. Id rank them behind Rhode, Shamrocks and maybe even Clara.

They were drinking non stop since the final and had no interest in the competition so i wouldnt see it as a reflection on Offaly football. Daly won them the final and he wasnt playing.

Without Cathal Daly Tullamore have very little. O'Grady did nothing and it proves the final woz a lucky day for him. Egan is a good footballer.

Hogans miss was terrible and it resulted in a 6 point turnaround.

Not a massive suprise as a number of the blues were out on the town the night before. Some sporting the blues tracksuit proudly around in the early hours. Wheery spotted an opportunity and fair play to them they took it. Goals win games and they got them. Hopefully wheery can suprise Michaels now.

I hope they do the county proud in Leinster. Ive a feeling though that theres not much interest or effort going to be put into it.

O'Grady would get a run out in the winter but he wouldnt be county standard. He had a good day but i cant understand why a man marker was not put on him. Thomas Coughlan i always thought was a forward and not a corner back.

I agree with that statement by magpie. Maybe they are the Mayo of Offaly club football. Im not shocked by the result because even though i did think and still think they are a better team than Tullamore we've seen them let it slip too many times. This probably ranks as their biggest mess up ever. Ha...

O'Grady and Dooley will be useful additions to the county panel. I think Tullamore have a good balanced outfit now since the group stages where they toyed with ideas. Daly back at centre back and i expect Kenny to line out at wing forward. He woz excellent against Clara. Shamrocks preparations would...

I know alot of die hard GAA people in Tullamore who fully "expect" them to win. They will openly admit that they are happy to be playin shamrocks and that shamrocks will fall apart. I was impressed with them against clara. O'Grady, Dooley and Duffy were very impressive aswell as the much t...

Alot of die hard GAA people i know in Tullamore fully expect to win. They are delighted to be playing Shamrocks and not Rhode. I fancy them cause they have alot of good footballers outside their county players (past and present). The likes of Dooley, O' Grady, Duffy, Martin and Egan and goin to be c...
