Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

Right, lets call the county Final, Ime going to go with Rynaghs backs holding Birr forwards, getting scores will be thing for Rynaghs against whats a excellent Birr half back line and a handy full backline too...but I think they may get enough to win this, Ime going for St. Rynaghs 0-17 Birr 0-14...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

Bitterly disappointed to see Belmont lose out yesterday, I really thought they'd win it coming into the game but in the end, some incredible saves from Conor Clancy made the difference. His penalty save in particular was truly incredible, and it would have been hard to see Rynagh's coming back to w...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

I wonder would Birr and KK have been as open a game (particulary in second half) if they had the atrocious conditions Belmont and Rynaghs had to play through yesterday in Birr...Birr seem to have been very impressive today, it should be a good final, wouldnt it be like old times and a mighty atmosph...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

just back from the first semi final, in Birr, In what was by times terrible conditions,Rynaghs certainly figured out Belmont, Belmont only got 3 points in second half (Rynaghs only got 6 one could say back I suppose) but Ben Conneely nullified Oisin Kelly, without being spectacular in doing so, he w...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

I know its a semifinal, but it might be a chance for some of the younger lads to get a start from the off...Danny M and Simon Og werent really on the starting 15 from the bit I follow of it this year, but would be subs probably with Camon and Wynne out...who would you slot in to your back line now?

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

Right folks, lets have a stab at predicting the scores of next weekends SHC semi finals: Belmont 2-16 St. Rynaghs 1-15 (on form Belmont should win, Ryanaghs backs will be tight on them and their non marquee players will find it tough to get scores they got in other games, Rynaghs surely got a wakeup...

Re: Senior B Hurling 2019

Hard to believe Tullamore have slipped so far back after winning a county SHC A in the fairly recent past...surely for the size of the town, which is a football and hurling town, I fear if they dont get out of SB, they will remain there for a bit...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

Re: Meeting In Tullamore

the county board probably should meet with the group, I seen before in GAA where anything contraversial in brought up at AGM's or whatever, the matter is "left" to an adjourned meeting, then the wagons are circled, calls are made behind the scenes, peoples points of view mysteriously change and low ...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

he scored 1-03 I think...he is way more effective out the field. Rynaghs will probably put Ben Conneely on him which will be a different kettle of fish than he has encountered to date, Kevin Brady struggled big time with him and went off injured I think after..Belmont are the form team and on form s...

Re: Meeting In Tullamore

maybe its an Offaly thing as in transparency, but I see the above being covered under another heading created months ago..thats why I opened this one as at least we know what will be discussed in it..the other one being debated away unknownst to many I would think...

Meeting In Tullamore

just wondering what peoples views are on the above meeting reported in MT and other media this week, is it a good time to be shaking things up on our county board with what will hopefully be a good appointment with SH management and SF...interesting to see how things pan out with it...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

after a team wins Senior B/Intermediate (depending on county structure) and become Senior A all the headlines are "??? can enter 2 teams in the SHC next season" but it never happens..interesting to hear it was tried in Tipp...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

I always think when and if a team win a senior B and go Senior A, and they already have a Senior A team, they should have a stab at fielding a second senior A team...I wonder is that allowed only no team goes ahead with it for logistical reasons..has any club ever done it?

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

both above may be very accurate, regarding the Shinrone wides, they have be very economical this year in most games, I know they scored 22 points in last game plus whatever wides, so even if you chalk off 5 points off their 22 scored last day, 17 points will be in or about enough to get a result in ...
