Re: Offaly Senior Footballers Championship Thread
I can only speculate would be very easy to back this up if anyone asked the likes of guilfoile, Brian Darby and Hanlon why they did not return it would be because the county board are a joke and they are not behind The footballers at all comments tommy Byrne said last year was outrageous from a ...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers Championship Thread
Should offaly have hired a manager that couldn't give his full commitment due to the fact he was managing a team in Kerry (we will leave out the dirty box shows great caractor in the man). The country board clearly vetted him I'm sure. We can say what we want about the players but unless the country ...

Re: 2018 NFL
So the players (well 2 of them did) opted for a chance in management last year to take the next step. Not sure this is what was ment by the next step... Relegated by the end of February is looking extremely possible.. The county board needs to hold there hand up and say they got it wrong again.. I ...

Re: Offaly GAA - in Crisis
it's not easy to stand up and get involved it would be easier to get into the dail it's sowed up tight.. In order to get involved and do some good work you need years to wiggle your way true all the red tape. The rules that govern the county board are made to protect them. I recently heard that the ...

Re: Offaly GAA - in Crisis?
From what I heard there was a meeting with 2 players not the entire panel what was sed at that meeting is no where to be found. Maybe Pender as captain could make a statement which could clarify alot. Also someone asked can the minutes Of The county meeting be seen to see how close or not the vote ...

Re: Offaly GAA - in Crisis?
I'm sick hearing about the negative tactics in the second half Of The first westmeath game... I was behind The offaly dug out Flanagan was purple shouting push forward and how can you blame management for Anton Sullivans stupidity and Mickey Brazil taking the head of an opposing player.. Players ...

Re: Offaly GAA - in Crisis?
Now that the CB and Tommy Byrne have rode out the storm what next. Byrne when secretary tried to get Banty in 3 years ago insted of Flanagan and when that failed he wanted Paul Curren parachuted in after the decision was made to give Flanagan the job. So whats the betting he has been working behind ...

Re: Offaly GAA - in Crisis?
Well I bet if nothing else the county board would like it to be last Monday again.. I feel an egm occurring in the near future Tommy Burne and his top table can't remain they might not be 100% to blame for the past 15years but this last week is enough to see anyone gone. The poor decisions and lack ...

So our county board are lacking basic manners as well as common sense. A new manager not going to change a thing if the county board are involved. Also it's very questionable how people who have no managerial experience decides our intercounty manager. Anyone see a problem ...

Re: County Management Stability
The county board using a scapegoat again. It's scary that these people have the faith of our county in their hands.. I wonder on what grounds did they make this decision. 2 progressive years and an average one and you get sacked.. Jesus imagine if we were Dublin...

County Management Stability
I normally don't post in such forums however I heard that there is a county board meeting tonight with the view of sacking both managers. To what end I don't know. I'm more interested in the football so won't comment on the hurling however the football has shown the best track record in over ten ...
