Re: Kehoe Cup 2019/2020

I agree with all the sentiments above.

Winning 2A and the Christy Ring cup are the tangible essentials of the year. Anything else is a failure.

To make a decent stab at the Joe McDonagh in the Summer of 2021 we must be playing Division 1 league hurling in the Spring of 2021.

Re: Byrne v Duignan

They've started from scratch but there are actually 3 underage hurling teams in Edenderry in 2019 & you'd have to imagine that should grow to at least 4-5 next year. Someone suggested here a while back that this was done in order to get money but refused to clarify the comment. I've never heard of ...

Re: Byrne v Duignan

Currently two primary schools in the town are fielding hurling teams.

Were in the Minor B hurling final a couple of years ago and lost to a CRC team that had no business being in the B championship.

How is the hurling going in Bracknagh NS as a matter of interest?

Re: Byrne v Duignan

We all know that the definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. If we reappoint Tommy Byrne et all the wheel will keep on turning and we'll get nowhere. Is Michael Duignan the best candidate in the county for the Chair? Absolutely not and I actually ...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

you would wonder if they are focused on going far in leinster or happy to just get over the line winning the county championship. I'd say there is an attitude of giver it a rattle versus the fact of lets go win this. Rynaghs will know they are not a top class outfit, if any other club in Offaly thi...

Re: Intermediate hurling 2019

First round of what championship? Offaly Senior B winners play in Leinster Intermediate Championship. Offaly Intermediate winners play in Leinster Junior championship. However I think, and I could be mistaken on this, that if Seir Kieran win the Intermediate final they won’t be permitted to enter th...

Re: Meeting In Tullamore

The stand in Birr isn't fit for a county final? Ah come on. First it was the grassy banks and now that they have been replaced its the stand now? If Pairc Tailteann can host county finals then Birr definitely can. And also it was interesting to note all the people stand on a grassy bank at the Antri...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

Since St Rynaghs made their first final in 1964 they have competed in 36 county final matches with a record of: P36 W17 D3 L16 In the same time period Birr have played in 22 county final matches with a record of: P22 W13 D1 L8 A really interesting statistic is that in the 55 championships since 1963...
