Re: Offaly v London Football Qualifiers
Next round draw in the morning against a beaten provincial semi-finalist
Home draw against Sligo or Limerick would be ideal or Clare or even Laois I suppose
Wouldn’t fancy a trip to Castlebar/Omagh/Newbridge or Armagh

Re: Leinster Club Hurling
@Wing Back, does Coolderry parish border county Laois to the east, and if it does, what club is on the Laois side - is it Camross? Hi POTH, Coolderry is located in the parish of Kilcolman which does not actually share a border with Co. Laois. You might find this map to be of some interest https://w...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers Championship Thread
As soon as the new Leinster championship format was decided which included relagation from the McCarthy cup for the bottom placed team we all knew that it was going to be tough task to stay in the top tier. Were we to lose to Dublin the very nature of the loss last night makes the argument for tweak...

Re: 2018 NHL
It's a while since I've posted here and in a sense I'd fallen out of love with Offaly hurling especially after the defensive game imposed upon us by Kevin Ryan last year which flew in the face of everything that Offaly hurling stands for. His comment in the week leading up to the qualifier game agai...

Re: Offaly hurling manager??
The idea of bringing in a supposed "big name" manager to turn things around in my opinion is symptomatic of how delusional and out of touch we have become. First of all what competent manager with any track record of coaching/managing at a sufficiently high level outside of the county woul...

Re: Offaly GAA - in Crisis?
Now that the CB and Tommy Byrne have rode out the storm what next. Byrne when secretary tried to get Banty in 3 years ago insted of Flanagan and when that failed he wanted Paul Curren parachuted in after the decision was made to give Flanagan the job. So whats the betting he has been working behind...

Re: Offaly vs. Waterford 2017 Hurling Qualifier
After the loss to Laois 2 years ago I set out on this site that we should deal with the following 9 points and I still believe they are relevant. Point 3 substitute K.Ryan's name for B. Whelahan - 1. Accept where we are now without qualification i.e. at rock bottom 2. Forget about what we have won i...

Re: Be Disappointed but show the players respect
Well there's a s+c coach who earns 52000 a year from the county board who passed Eoin Carroll fit to play, when he wasn't, and according to a trustworthy source, Carroll could be facing a career ending injury. Also if a s+c coach was being paid that much, you'd imagine that the likes of rodge Hanlo...

Re: offaly team versus westmeath
The Leinster semi finals are not being played as a double header.
If we win Sunday we would play Dublin on Sunday 25th. Read somewhere the Leinster Council might bring Dublin out of Croker again. I reckon we'd take them in Newbridge

Re: A chance for atonement - Westmeath v Offaly, Leinster SH
According to the Tipp GAA forum on boards , for what its worth we played them in a challenge game earlier this week and they beat us 8-22 to 12  They say that in February they beat us 4-32 to 4  Not sure if these scores are accurate and I know challenge matches can be strange with mana...
