Re: Senior A Football 2019

Ferbane or Tullamore probably favorites for relegation final seeing as both will have to beat Rhode and Clara respectively. Shamrocks likely to beat Cappincur which would put them through if either Ferbane or Tullamore fail to win. Very flawed system but very exciting conclusion with all teams inter...

Re: Leinster Under 20 Hurling Championship

Congratulations to players and management! Was glued to Joe Troy on twitter...great excitement! Great to hear there was good support in attendance. Probably the biggest shock since we beat Kildare at U21 level a few years ago in Athy.

Re: Football Leagues 2019

Nice of the county board to arrange league fixtures on a week day at 7pm for two weeks in succession.

Not everybody lives or works within the confines of the county.

Re: Additions to County panels Football and Hurling

I can understand why it is not attractive to hurl for Offaly...but the footballers results have been okay over the last number of years everyone should be mad to play for the county. Who are the 10 players who would be good enough for a matter of interest. Colm Doyle, Carl Stewart, Graham Guilfoyle...

Just sayin'!!
The same guy who left Roscommon a few years back for being taken off. All 3 managers can’t be blamed? Time to look in the mirror Nigel

Ferbane have appointed Laois man, Sean Dempsey, who was over Edenderry a couple of years ago.

Re: Leinster Club - Football

A 100% record so far for all our football and hurling reps in Leinster. Great showing so far and long may it continue. Some very favorable draws also with a lot of home draws which has to be noted. Well done to all!

Re: Senior A Football 2018

I heard that the Wicklow replay may be played the day before the Rhode game due to one team’s participation in hurling. Great news if so!

Re: Senior A Football 2018

Ideal Leinster draw for Rhode now seeing as that the Wicklow Final ended in a draw and replay fixed for next weekend. Rhode not only will get a longer lead in time but will also get to view the replay. The Wicklow champs will only have a week to celebrate and get ready for Rhode

Re: Senior B Football 2018

Two relegations and two promotions in 2 years for Rynaghs. Obviously have quality players in the club who are satisfied to play on the second team in the lower grades which is disappointing.

Re: Offaly GAA Website

Would our PRO or whoever is responsible fix the website in terms of results and league and championship tables. Stop putting Graham Guilfoyle up as the image for team announcements. Official twitter Match updates periodic and not giving any player scores, subs etc. It’s a mess and shameful compared ...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers Championship Thread

Not really relevant to this thread but I heard a great podcast interview with Eamon Fitzmaurice. He was talking about club month and releasing players to the clubs. A selection of Kerry players wear GPS trackers during their club games in April so Kerry management can monitor how they are performing...

Re: Coláiste Choilm

There is no u20 still u21. Be hardly much for u17 maybe one or two, when this an eighteen and a half grade competition. The Banagher team that beat them originally made up of mainly galway players. Congrats to them nonetheless. How come Football has U17 and U20 level at intercounty level but hurlin...

Re: Coláiste Choilm

Belated congratulations to Colaiste Choilm. A magnificent achievement for the school and the local area. Well done to all. Hopefully an Offaly U17 and U20 team can be built around this group of players.
