Re: Club Managements
I think in any county its very hard for every club to keep up that level of hunger and work on a consistent basis. You will see a couple or clubs dominate for 10 or so years then another club takes over for them. Its always just one or two guys the main reason who are pushing it on

Re: Club Managements
Jimbob hold on here for a second. Its very hard to wipe the floor as you say in any county Birr might of done it for years due to the fact of the presentation brothers were feeding Birr with numbers every year with a huge amount of talent amongst them players. That is not the case anymore due to the...

Re: Offaly SHC 2021
I think Drumcullen who would of been underdogs would be well off 3 or 4 clubs in Offaly and get some big defeats.

Re: Club Managements
Nearly all club managers are paid now so I am not sure where Bracknaghboy is coming from. In relation to his success its hard have much when you are only starting out. He did win a harty cup this year and I belive that was his first year over a them so thats a start consiering they hadnt won one in ...

Re: Club Managements
I agree with the point also but I do realise clubs like Birr and Belmont appointing big names as such think that might bring hem to the next level and get that county title which they have came short of. When Barry Whelahan stepped down as manager Birr were always going outside the county as I do no...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2020
For all the believers who came on here after last week thinking it was a super win well you have been brought back down to earth after today. I can't blame management because no matter what way we tried to play we should of had enough to beat Down and that is no disrespect to them. We got into a dog...

Re: Longest serving players in Offaly club championship
The only stand out candidate from the names mentioned is Mullins as he has played at the top level since 1996 the rest of dropped to lower ranks. His level of performance and attention to detail is what any top team is what all teams success is based on. I am surprised a top inter county team has no...

Re: Senior A and B Hurling Championships 2020
I have seen Belmont once and K/K once if K/K manage Oisin Kelly they will win with a bit to spare if they dont tie him downs it's a different game. I am going to go with K/K by 6. Have seen Birr all 3 games and to be honest overall they have been impressive. The owe Banagher one from the final but w...

Re: Senior A and B Hurling Championships 2020
Fairplayalways you have asked 3 different times did it happen? You have been told it did happen. Not sure why you dont belive it.
It happened and was not seen by the referee as the ball was down the other end of the field.

Re: Intermediate/Junior A/Junior B Hurling 2020
Wow I can finally come on this forum and start a discussion with Birr been county final proper contenders.....without doubt this team will win a county final. The new players they have is after bringing a new dimension to the the team. Coolderry were awful fair enough and you would wonder what direc...

Re: Senior A and B Hurling Championships 2020
I think Shinrone are gone way back and if the truth be told hard see them pushing for anything over the next few years alot of very ordinary players.
That leaves the Birr game v Coolderry as the main decider, Birr will be favourites but it will be tight.
