Re: Football league 3 2017

Let's be clear on something, Offaly weren't as bad as the Armagh defeat indicated, we've been more than competitive in every game in the league, but the comments made by the 2 club officials had nothing to do with the defeat to Armagh, it was just an attack on Pat Flanagan that was clearly preplanne...

Re: U21 football

Well done to all players and management involve in beating Wexford, right now in the county we'll take any win we can get and we really needed that win to keep some kind of optimism going in the county. Dreadful night to have to try and play football, but a win is a win & we move on to fancy Laois o...

Re: National Hurling League 2017

Jaysus Timber thanks for the vote of confidence, sadly I'm not actually in the country this year as I'm over working with me mate Trump making America great again, once we've that done, I'll see if we can do something to make Offaly Hurling great again too, Donald said we should start by put up a wa...

Re: National Hurling League 2017

It hardly takes a genius to point out that we are where we are, Offaly hurling has been on a massive spiral downwards since we took a massive beating in the All Ireland final to Kilkenny back in 2000, in the time since, we've never once appointed a high profile manager who could come in and bring a ...

Re: Offaly hurling manager??

Just as a matter of interest, why are Offaly playing challenge matches against teams like Waterford or Clare for example...every year we do this and come away having been given a huge beaten, so what do we think we learn from that? It can't do anything for team morale and certainly going to get lads...

Re: U21 Home Advantage Lost

Anyone got idea of how the U21 team are going? Tough game against Kildare on Thursday, especially now that's it's away from home.

The bookies have Kildare as warm favourites @ 1/2.

Re: NFL Offaly V Wicklow 1/3/15

Crucial game today...a win would see us back top of the table and with Leitrim, Carlow & Antrim all to come to Tullamore we would be giving ourselves every opportunity to make a league final & get promotion!! I think it'll be very tough in Aughrim today...we have an awful record over there, but toda...

Re: 2015 O' Byrne Cup

excellent win, it's been a very long time since we'd have given any team that kind of a trimming. Naturally now all the focus will shift to the league & getting a) a settled team, B) win the Divison 4 title...sounds simple, but it will anything but!! Does anyone know what the offaly panel looks like...

Re: County Board 2015

Just wondering Offaly's Future what role you applied for within the county board or do you think this is the best place to cure all the ills in Offaly GAA? Hate to break it to you, but if you really want to bring about real change in Offaly GAA, get out from behind the keyboard & get involved, and t...

How did Daryl Dwyer hurl? Any chance Sid calls him in this year?

Re: Strength and Conditioning Coach available

I'd say 85% of clubs in offaly don't have a strenght & fitness coach...so you should have no problem finding a club or 2 to take u on!!

Re: Appearance Fee for a County Man?

Ok seriously if you were a 15/16 year old footballer what current offaly player would you be aspiring to be? Same thing for the hurlers? Beyond Niall McNamee, Alan Mulhall or Rory Hannify i'd be struggling to think of anyone else a young player might know or want to meet!! The only thing a current O...

Re: Appearance Fee for a County Man?

Would a kid or adult even know an offaly county footballer or hurler nowadays if they stood in front of them...like their hardly celebrities around the county? I'd say keep the clubs or your own €150 & do something for the people getting presented with the medals, no one would remember who handed th...

Re: Rhode in Leinster - 2014

I'm loving the positivity around rhode but St. Vincents are another step up from anything that Rhode have played all year. I think only St. Vincent's complacency can beat them on the day as they should have too much for Rhode all over the field. Can't see Rhode having the players to hold Connelly or...
