Re: Johnny Pilkington
its was a great programme .well balanced between county, club, and family life. i always said he took over joachims job as the "engine" of the team. the other thing that struck me was the amount of ground hurling went on them times. it was great to watch. id share his view on the 95 leinster final.we ...

Re: The offaly way.
i seen the excellent nationwide programme the other night about bnm and esb in the midlands. the segment about the influence esb and bnm had on offaly gaa was particularly interesting. liam currams said he played 5 years u21 with both the footballers and hurlers? or did i hear it wrong? some feat if...

looks a strange move to me. getting a guy who worked underage a good few years ago.schools underage to a "top" club is a huge jump. was there no one more suitable ?.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2020

Re: DIV 3 NFL predictions and general chit chat.
dublin will win at least 9 out of every 10 leinsters for forseeable future. kk or galway will win 9/10 in hurling. theres no spinning out . dublin have their act together and too well organised and financed.. kk play nothing else and have the hurling pedigree. galways strong under age structure and ...

Re: 1984 Centenary All Ireland on Gold last night
while i agree with most of what you said the sliotar has actually got marginally heavier in recent years. the inner core has changed tho and this has caused players to be able to hit it further. also hurls have got better. and the physique of players has got bulkier. the size of some of the limerick...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2020
dj carey was a great hurler but was as bad as any one i ever seen for over carrying the ball. the skill he has was to look like he was going to play it any moment but not doing it. he got a goal that won a game against us and def too 10 or more steps before he scored a goal..and he got one against w...

Re: DIV 3 NFL predictions and general chit chat.
very strange to see no player from ferbane featuring on the starting team today or last week? 2019 winners 2018 finalists and beaten on penos this year in semi? i dont like maughans style. hes great in interviews and talks a good game but i dont think hes advancing offaly football the way hes settin...

Re: Anthony Daly: Offaly were codding us, and themselves, as a culture of indifference set in
easy enough for kilkenny get rid of lads for misbehaving etc. they got a conveyor belt of talent. a friend of mine from kilkenny often said some of the best hurlers in the county never got a chance because cody just didnt fancy them if they were casual or happy go lucky . we could never get rid of a...

Re: Best offaly hurling team of all time
maybe mullins was/is and i wouldnt argue with you that hes an exceptional shot stopper. but damien martin had an all star got and had played many years for leinster, and was regarded as one of the top keepers in ireland for years before offaly "came"
