Re: Offaly Hurling 2021
Round four in a series of five on Sunday, where Offaly again will face a team with a higher championship ranking (Joe McDonagh) than they do (you know yourself). And Down were impressive in their first half against Kerry before a second half fade out. On the face of it, Offaly have ruthlessly destr...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2021
of course Kilkenny have a plan, all teams have a plan, Codys point was you have to win the majority of your man to man battles though to win the match..if you dont get the ball you cant play it out to the wings/play it short up the field...all that are examples of plans etc. but if you dont win you...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2021
every thing you state above I concur with 100%..the game is destroyed by all the things you mention..the problem is people will say "thats the way the game is gone now" and I suppose you have to say that is the case...no lesser than Brian Cody sprang to my mind when you were listing out a...

Re: Johnny Pilkington
Ger Canning: What would an All Ireland win mean to Offaly? Johnny Pilkington: It would mean a hell of a lot of drinking Ger. Priceless. Honesty, spontaneity and a bit of cheeky humour. Can you imagine in 2021 if one of the body builders who masquerade as hurlers from Limerick, Waterford, Galway etc...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2020
What club in offaly, since 2015 onwards could be described as a progressive club? Is there any club that could be called that? Only one or two would come to mind for me. I'm not talking about success on the field and trophies been won. But a structured approach to developing gaelic games, developin...

Re: Senior A and B Hurling Championships 2020
Regards watching online. It can really get quite costly. Double header are normally €10 but counties are charging €8 for each individual game. €50 for year was good value a month ago but not now.

Re: Byrne v Duignan
Wexfords Hurling365 looks superb but there seems to be serious money behind it. I predict they will be a serious force for next 10-15 years tho.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2020
Very often Offaly gaa cannot predict the size of a crowd for a game anyway. Ive often gone in to matches and all programmes sold out and the hatch closed before match even starts. Duignan may sort that. I like to read the names off the programne and figure out who they related to and who theyd vote ...

Re: 2017 Walsh Cup
This bias argument is a pile of steaming shite in fairness. Some county stalwarts like Brian Lohan in UL and Davy in LIT have gone into colleges and put their shoulder to the wheel. They know that if Clare lads miss Fitzgibbon hurling that a crucial stage in their development in missing. Fair play t...

Re: Offaly hurling manager??
What sort of a team had we out again Kildare? Never thought I'd see in my life time an Offaly team struggle against Kildare and Meath teams even if it is just the Walsh cup! This sums up a lot of the Offaly attitude at the present time. Many people feel that because of the success in the 80s and 90...

Re: Offaly hurling manager??
Disgraceful treatment by the crunchie boord . and sam please tell me why your guessing its the same selectors as last year?? How soon can we apply to have this word added to the Oxford dictionary? It is surely part of the lexicon now. Crunchie board: a malapropism used to poke fun at die-hard but p...
