Offaly Schools
I see that Offaly Schools have entered a combined team in the Leinster Colleges A Championship (Football). They play Dundalk Schools on Saturday....does anyone know what schools are making up this? I saw that St. Mel's got beaten by 41 points in this competition during the week!

Re: Division 4 Offaly Vs Longford
No it was McConway...maybe O'Connor struck him too! Kavanagh was on the ground and had made a bit of a meal out of a challenge. As mentioned earlier he was looking for the free every time and grabbing the forwards arm and falling to the ground any time there was contact. The boys went over to him to ...

Re: Minor Football 2015
Disappointed that Pascal won't be staying on as I really felt that this group could have done with some continuity. They had made some progress last year even though they were very poor in the semi-final against Dublin and there was good foundations for a further push this coming year. Anyone know ...

Re: Offaly Minor Football 2014
Ah...it's the hope that kills ya. I for one was a bit carried away with our prospects and in hindsight the games against Kilkenny and Westmeath woefully under prepared us for a physically imposing Dublin side. I said earlier that if we got 50/50 at midfield we had a chance but we were completely ...

Re: Offaly Minor Football 2014
What's more important is the solid structures that seem to be put in place at u-16 and minor level are now paying dividend.
In total agreement. Very refreshing to see that last year's Manning Cup wasn't a once off and that this year's group have had 3 wins out of 3 and are into the final once ...

Re: Offaly Minor Football 2014
I wish the footballers the best of luck tonight.
I hope people haven't got ahead of themselves here and put massive pressure on these chaps.
I think you might be overestimating the influence of this forum if you think a few good luck messages has put 'massive pressure' on this minor side. The ...

Re: Offaly Minor Football 2014
Best of luck to the lads tonight. Anything can happen with young fellas but having seen both sides this year I wouldn't have thought there was a whole lot between them. Bookies have Dublin favourites and that is fair enough having beaten Longford and Meath, two of the stronger teams in the ...

Re: Offaly Minor Football 2014
Decent draw for the minors who play the winners of Wicklow/ Westmeath in the Leinster Quarter Final. They have gotten a few lads back who were injured for some of the league campaign and despite a facile win over Kilkenny, where they just had to get the job done, they seem to be preparing well ...

Re: Offaly Minor Football 2014
Longford 2-08 Offaly 1-07
A disappointing result. Offaly started brilliantly and looked sharp early on leading 0-03 to 0-1 after about 15 minutes. They were moving very well and really should have been much more ahead and squandered a number of good chances during this period, kicking another few ...

Re: Offaly Minor Football 2014
This will be a good test of this Offaly side as Longford would be in the top few in Leinster at the moment. They comfortably won their group and beat Meath in the semi (who had knocked out Dublin). Two years ago Longford were streets ahead at u16 level but having been at a recent challenge between ...
