Re: Offaly Minor Football 2024
Last night was very disappointing from a performance level and the actual result . I think this is a weak enough group but they were not helped by some decisions made by MGT in the selection of players on the squad . At u 17 and u 16 dev squad level we do not have the best players in Offaly playing...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2024
Yesterday was nothing to do with tactics. Dublin are on a different level physique wise. It was like Dublin seniors playing the Dublin minors in a challenge match. I know a lot of the Offaly lads and I know the work they put in at training and even the days they aren't training . I'm not sure how Du...

Re: U20 footballers 2024
For me a couple of things, Certain players were going to play regardless of whether they brought their football boots with them. This type of stuff has started to creep into the underage set ups. Secondly, how they were set up to play, and you can go on what way you like about us beating Kildare, a...

Re: U20 footballers 2024
I agree got home at 1am but i have noticed some of the younger and not so young. Players have a bad attitude. Maybe it's the modern way but your playing for your county .🤗 Maybe we just don't have the players. If you go through the panel, how many of them are playing senior A football this year?Les...

Re: U20 footballers 2024
Well done to Carlow good luck in the competition. For us why did we bother playing? Is it bad management or players with an attitude were too good for this competition? If wasn't for Melia during the campaign We would have conceded some serious amounts of goals . Teams need games to improve. Bad ma...

Re: U20 footballers 2024
Surely that's the last of ken furlongs involvement Another disappointing year for under 20 football It's a hard pill to swallow going out like that after so much preparation for championship and I thought they might have kicked on a bit after the kildare win I've no doubt there's good players on th...

Re: U20 footballers 2024
Not from the county boards perspective in regards to the seniors as its the only realistic competition offaly can win after the national league. U20 b competition is not going to be taken any way seriously, especially if those players are in college with exams etc coming up. Can understand in some ...

Re: U20 footballers 2024
So if the seniors lose in 2 weeks is the season finished? Will they not bother training for the Tailteann cup?

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2024
Well said.. a good team performance and some great individual performances. We have to sprinkle a little bit of reality onto it though. Played against a division 4 team with 14 men for over 40mins. Let’s not get too carried away. A really good Tailteann cup run and that would be a good year though..

Re: U20 footballers 2024
So the u20s aren’t allowed to train before the Carlow game. Why enter the competition and not allow them to train. Bit harsh on the group of lads after the effort they’ve put in since October.

Re: U20 footballers 2024
Was at most of them. The writing was on the wall after the last 2 challenge matches before the championship opener. They didn't score in the second half against Roscommon and scored 1 point against Cork in the first half.ah lethimoutwithit wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2024 9:49 pm Jaysus is there no one been to any games with this group.

Re: U20 footballers 2024
Don’t reporters single out players all the time. Questions have to be asked. They aren’t u12.
