Re: Offaly Under 12 Hurling Championship
Man from delmomte. You are spot on with numbers. Very good point. it annoys me when I see 10 aside at u8s. (But it's great we are getting the numbers). We had football for 15 mins after hurling training last sat morning. Did 5mins of kick and hand passing then picking the ball. Then went in to a mat...

Re: Offaly Under 12 Hurling Championship
Even u14 there are a lot of blitz type matches. Last fri in skenagh we held a lift and strike competition ( no rising allowed). As a juvenile trainer i notice that when you have non-competitive blitzes you can focus on learning rather than winning. in bk we're back in the training business. Before t...

Re: Un Cambio Es Bueno
Un Cambio es bueno. For the non spanish speaking among us means change is good. Anyone know why cb meeting was cancelled last tues. Now is the time to get your ideas to your club reps.

Re: Respect
What I posted anonymously 2 months ago was that I thought we should get a look in ( meant a trial). I have since put on a signature that has been applied to all my posts. Still think the same just ask ken hogan, joe bergin, or the egans from ferbane belmont or the brosna gael lads who stood out for ...

Re: Respect
good man pat. I'm the bk captain. Doing this for a couple of reasons. We had Ken hogan giving us a mental health talk and he told us how 14 year olds are being told they are shite and have no heart. Secondly I've great respect for shane dooley and joe bergin who have said their per hate is anonymous...

Re: how offaly should spend the 45k hurling dev grant.
The answer to what we should do. Is probably what kk would do if a catastrophy hit the county and wiped out their best talent to extent that they lost to offaly by 25 pts. They would start again they would get underage going again. They would go to the next cb meeting shake things up, make a few pla...

how offaly should spend the 45k hurling dev grant.
Ten grand on an intermediate county team would do a lot. it would develop a lot of players, improve senior and inter club hurling and the seniors can pick the best lads or send back some of their lads for extra matches. Budget 6000 trainer. 3000 physio 1000 gear. Train once per week till may and twi...

Re: OFFALY Hurling 2014
Apartantly Molloy is now in retirement. He didn't feature for his club Shamrocks at all last year and had surgery. I agree, I think intermediate level is overlooked in this county, Ballinamere Shamrock and Ballyskenach had a few players that could have offered something to the county panel. Brendan...

Re: inter hurling championship
Well done to ballinamere. Best of luck in Leinster. Didn't post for a while, hanging my head in shame. Bk gaels finished up the year by beating banagher in the league final, after drawing the match after extra time the first day out. The drawn game had a bit of bite to it with 4 lads getting red car...

Re: inter hurling championship
Saturday 14th – IHC semi-finals (double header at O’Connor Park) Ballinamere v Shamrocks at 4pm, Ballyskenagh-Killavilla v Kilcormac-Killoughey at 5.30pm Another win for bk in the league semifinal. Bk have won 15/15 games but we've won nothing important. To put it into perspective there are roughly ...

Re: inter hurling championship
puzzled 4/4 for your predictions. Focus for next weekend is now on the league semifinal where we play coolderry next sat in birr at 3pm. In the last league game we had a tough-tough game, against rynaghs in banagher which we won by a point. Even though the result didn't matter too much there was fie...

Re: inter hurling championship
Offaly fixtures are being prolonged unnecessarily again. Or maybe the masters fixture is just out of date. Either way its not great planning and communication. The intermediate championship is scheduled to finish on october the 20th. The quarter finals are next weekend. That means there are only two...
