Re: Next Offaly Senior Hurling Manager

Won't be long before he is pulling a panel together. I think there needs to be at least 90% of the panel between 20 and 26 and carry with carry 4 or 5 lads with experience in the camp. The likes of Shane Dooley, Joe Bergin, Conor Mahon, Colin Egan need to be kept to a minimum. It will be at least 2...

Actually to the best of my knowledge Tommy Byrne was manager of the Gracefield Junior Hurlers this year so he probably had a lot more input into hurling in 2019 than most of the posters on this site.
Gary Cahill must have been a selector with Gracefield so

Re: Next Offaly Senior Hurling Manager

Joe Quaid is now out of a job so should he be got at all costs or should someone else be in line for it?

Re: Leinster Under 20 Hurling Championship

I would go as far to say it was an heroic performance by the young men and they only went ahead for the first time in the 63rd minute. They really did die with their boots on and if they had of lost I think they’d get the same praise although nobody wants moral victories. There is a serious crop of ...

Re: Joe McDonagh cup

getting in and out of Tullamore town is not the issue, its having to park in the housing estates off the main road, clogging them up on the local residents, queing for almost half an hour then to get back out on the main road, and then crawl the whole way to the outskirts of the town...no thanks......

Re: Joe McDonagh cup

How is there trouble getting in and out of Tullamore? The whole town is bypassed so you have numerous roads to travel on and the crowds that go to Tullamore you wouldn’t get stuck in traffic anyway. This whole Birr/Tullamore venue debate is total nonsense. Joachim said there was no hurling outside a...

Re: Offaly V Kerry JMCD cup - can we win this game?

On the eve of our biggest ever match...Regan comes out and goes on a major rant...great timing Daithi!! The management came in made decisions what they feel is best for Offaly whether they are right decisions or wrong you still must admire them for putting themselves forward for the role. His rant ...

Re: Leinster Under 20 Hurling Championship

Will that game be on the 15th against Carlow with the senior hurling down in Kerry the same day? Well done tonight to the young lads. There is a lot of talent within that squad and a dry day would suit them a lot more than a wet one. Here’s hoping they claim a few scalps in the coming weeks as they ...

Re: Leinster Under 20 Hurling Championship

This 20s team is supposed to be decent enough and as good a 20/21 side Offaly have had for the past number of years. Last years minor team provides a lot of players. Conor Langton and David Nally are to come in from the seniors. Duignan and Ravenhill from Ballinamere are two good lads. Oisin Murphy ...

The two Geraghtys from KK. Thomas was great last year when he played averaging 2 or 3 points a game.

Re: Joe McDonagh cup

This can be turned around. Like Brian Carroll said on Midlands 103 over the weekend players need to play in their most natural positions so the best can be got out of them. The blame of what has gone on in the long and short term has to be shared with the county board and Kevin Martin. Firstly the c...

Re: Offaly V Westmeath -predict the result/score

What does it say about us that Laois that we scored 3-21 against them and lost by 4 points? It’s only takes a few defensive tweaks to shore the whole thing up. This week I think we will be tighter but can’t see Oisín Kelly being in the same form as last week and Joe Bergin will find it tough on big ...
