Re: Kids dropped from development squad
make no mistake this was 100% to do with those lads playing soccer. Declan Kelly outlined at the start of his tenure as director of the development squads that no other code including hurling was an excuse to miss football training or matches at any age group. he even went as far as outlining that ...

Re: National Foothall league Div 2 predictions
i think management have to answer questions . what way are the lads being asked to set up. there seems to be no plan with or against the wind.
surely to god there were run throughs on the training ground for the different scenarios we would face .its winter football and that never changes for the ...

Re: Semi-Finals
Ferbane got what they deserved. the sneering on video and facebook about last years junior final was terrible. kliclonfert tried hard to win that final for a lost colleague and made mistakes when they thought it was in the bag. I have never seen a club to rub a final loss into their oppositions ...

Re: Offaly GAA - in Crisis
LS, I apologise for my mis-information....in fact 2016 was a brilliant format with a knock out edge to the football championship. this year is a lifeless championship with games fixed for Sunday mornings at 11 and 12 with very few turning up to support teams. Our county is in turmoil without any ...

Re: Offaly GAA - in Crisis
LS, am I right in saying you were involved on the commitee in recommending this years stupid and ridiculous format for adult leagues and championships in football?

Re: Footballers embarrassing
we created our own hardship this year. last year we had a club championship that didn't start till the end of july so the offaly management had a clear run with no distractions for the players. this year the clubs decided that this format needed to be changed and the offaly management lost the month ...

Re: offaly team versus westmeath
absolutely clueless last sunday. is that the players fault or are they playing to the system that the management set up ? if the management are in charge and allowed these tactics playing with the wind, we are in serious trouble. if the players ignored the manager and did their own thing playing ...

Re: Football league 3 2017
firstly , last Sunday was down to poor organisation and poor attitude. both of these issues need to be addressed immediately. there is so much wrong within our club and county set up.
last year we had a system for the club championship that worked well. 1st rd started in late July which didn't ...

Re: Club Managers 2014
hey bracknaghboy, i dont understand how you can come to that conclusion.
I dont know anything about pj murray or declan farrell but all the other managers mentioned have been part of winning management teams in the last 6 years.
These guys know how to win and thats why clubs want them.

Re: Club Managers 2014
i hear Declan Gorman from Rhode is the new manager of Westmeath senior team Bunbrosna and has brought joe Quinn of clara in as physical trainer.
that should be interesting to see how these 2 young lads get on in Westmeath.

Re: Battle of Walsh Island
this is all being exaggerated.
minor altercation between 2 managers(happens all the time)
neither manager struck anyone. it was other club officals ,subs and supporters that threw most of the punches and 1 head butt only.
it looked like it got shamrocks going after that .ballyfore were the better ...
