Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

I thought Birr’s first touch was much better than Rynaghs especially in the first half. Took Rynaghs an awful long time to settle and really it was the introduction of Quirke and Horan that made the difference. Sean Dolan and Ben Conneelly were immense also. For Birr, Sean Ryan and young Watkins (wh...

Re: Senior A Football 2019

Well done Ferbane. Delighted to see them get the victory yesterday. Some fine individual performances and a very young team too.

Best of luck in Leinster.

Re: Junior A Football 2019

Thanks and we’ll make no secret of our delight and relief following Saturday’s result.

A huge effort was put in all year with numbers regularly 25 plus at training. Thankfully it paid off.

Massive thanks to neighboring clubs for their support also.

It mightn’t raise many eyebrows outside but That’s some lift for the county.

Well done to team and management

Re: Offaly v Sligo Round 2 Qualifier

Adam Mangan was brilliant. Forgot to mention him in my first post but Ryot covered it perfectly.

Re: Offaly v Sligo Round 2 Qualifier

Overall quite happy with the performance and result today. Showed great commitment from start to finish underpinned by good level of fitness. Paddy Duncan didn’t have a lot to do but his one bit was a crucial save at a crucial time in the first half. One major plus is his free taking - think he kick...

The team drawn first have home advantage except if its a div 1/2 team v 3/4 team. So it’s Bord Na Mona O’C Park.

Re: Joe McDonagh cup

Disappointed but not overly surprised as if I’m honest, I didn’t really expect an Offaly win this evening. That said, they gave one almighty effort and came very close. Some excellent individual performances with Oisin Kelly being the stand out performer. To be fair, Laois were deserving winners and...

Re: Senior A Football 2018

And so the records keep falling. What a wonderful performance by Rhode yesterday. Probably their most complete final performance since 2008. Just when you think father time might be catching up with them, they come out and dominate a relatively young Ferbane team who in all truth never looked like ...

Re: Additions to County panels Football and Hurling

I think Jack Cullinan is worth a look at in goals. Recovered well from a couple of bad kick outs early on and overall his kicks were excellent. Great deliveries to Oisin Kelly who was the stand out midfielder yesterday and a great save in the first half to keep Ferbane in it.

Re: Additions to County panels Football and Hurling

From the football final I was not impressed by Kyle Higgins but there were 2 forwards on show I would like to see added to the panel: Joe Maher and the lad wearing 15 for Rhode. Excellent player and kicked a heap of great points. Any chance of him being available ? Having seen the new management te...

The two quarter finals are on Friday and Saturday evening of this weekend so I’d imagine possibly next weekend or the one after at the latest.
