Ballycumber would be the obvious venue for Clara vs. Doon.
A lot of clubs can be reluctant to make their pitches available at times.
Lets hope Shannonbridge can get their pitch surface to resemble a snooker table to allow Clara to play their extravagant brand of football!

Imagine it! Offaly and Dublin play an evenly balanced first half, the main difference being a couple of quick goals by the Dubs. Half time score 2-6 to 0-5. News filters through that Wastemeath are beating an understrength (well they'd have to be) Mayo by 1-07 to 0-5. Suddenly we're clinging onto Di...

Rhode rage incident #2 Pascal Kellaghan off the panel?
Can anyone confirm that Pascal Kellaghan has left the panel? He was named in the subs. Someone said to me during the match that he'd dropped off the panel. I didn't notice him on the bench, but it was a bit too late to get a good view. From the outside, it would appear Kilmurray doesn't think much o...

Rhode rage incident #1 Roy Malone vs Ginger Stewart
Did anyone get a look at this one?
Roy Malone was brought on in the first half. Late in the 2nd half he was subsituted. Clearly he wasn't happy when he was coming off the pitch. Ginger Stewart stood up to reason with him, but Roy shoved him out of the way.
Not the happiest of men.

Offaly vs Cork - A point gained or a point lost?
What's the feeling about yesterday's match? Given the kind of matches we've gotten used to narrowly losing, we'll take this one. It's great to finally have an Offaly football team make a comeback and not ultimately come away empty handed. With how other results have gone, we could nearly guarantee s...

Re: Stats
In reality, when the fixtures were announced I expected to beat W.meath, lose the next three and then start scrapping with Cork, Dublin and Donegal to avoid the drop. Sundays game is the most critical. Yeah, it's too early to be pessimistic. The league is a strange competition. Teams who are in con...

Thomas Coughlan was the one taken off and not Jimmy. We were well in it at half time, having played against the wind, with the score at 1-3 to 0-10. Both teams had rattled the crossbar in the first half. Offaly's goal was somewhat fortunate. A Jimmy Coughlan free from distance that held in the wind ...

Seven of those titles were won when Offaly were in Division 3 or 4.Lone Shark wrote:That it happens to be in the most successful club in Offaly football since the county has been a national power is just a coincidence.
No coincidence indeed.
